GT @ NC State 12/5 4p ACCN

If it is a hamstring. that is usually a three to 6 week deal......if so he is gone for this season

Games are either on ACCN, which Comcast doesn’t carry or Fox Sports South which only Comcast carries. It’s pretty much guaranteed the that you’re going to miss a game in the Atlanta market.
Why is ACCN only one channel (at least here in VA)? I live in ACC territory and yet I can watch EVERY Pac-12 game on one of SEVEN PAC-12 channels which I have. Hell, my wife has about six Hallmark channels where she can watch all her crappy made for TV Christmas movies. Tstan really needs to focus HARD on getting us out of whatever lousy contract we're locked into and getting our school onto some network that will show us every single week (unless ESPN or big four networks poach the game) where prospective recruits and prospective donors at least have a CHANCE to see us all the time. The exposure IS the compensation.

I don’t like the ACCN, the SECN, or BIG10N, etc...

If it’s on one of the main channels then I’ll watch it. I’m not going to jump through all these hoops just to watch what are mostly unimportant games.

Dealing with Comcast/doing YouTube tv trials/cancellations is a pain in the ass.

ALL Tech football games are important to real Tech football fans. YMMV, and obviously does.

Every GT game has been televised locally here since at least 1999.

Where is the uniform reveal thread?

What are we wearing this weekend?

WHAT ARE WE WEARING THIS WEEKEND!?

You care about Tech football but you can’t be bothered to jump through these hoops to watch games? I’m used to hearing excuses about Marta, parking, traffic, crime, weather, you name it — but that’s a pretty low bar even for Tech fans. Seems like a weird sentiment on a Tech fan board.

If it’s a big game I’ll bite the bullet but let’s not dismiss the fact that it has become a bigger pain in the ass to watch a Tech game these days than it was 20 years ago...which is bullshit. That is NOT how you obtain exposure for your program.

Well, I guess you're younger than me, because I can remember a time when not all games were televised (on any channel at all). Those games were the best if you attended (as they had no TV breaks), but man it stunk if you couldn't get to the game in person. Of course, back in those days we *really* loved Al Ciraldo for making it come alive for us.

But I for one am so grateful that games are available to watch, I can't imagine thinking figuring out the right channels is *too big* a hurdle to get over to watch them.

And those seemed so much simpler times as well. You could drive to the campus that morning and pretty much park anywhere you wanted for free. Walk over to Juniors and have breakfast along with the early risers, relax on campus, go over to the Varsity for lunch, stand in line , buy your food and take it in the stadium, eat your rings while watching warm ups. Kick offs normally happened around 1:30 or so. Listen to Al on your little pocket radio, and at the appointed time - along with everyone else - shout Hello Al! Man, I miss those days.

If that’s the logic, then we should want the Pitt game cancelled as we would lose to them again
I am on board with this if we can shuffle things around and convince Florida State to play us again. They are the shells of men now and I feel confident we'd win by submission in the second quarter at the latest. I know it wouldn't prove anything, but this year there is not a lot I wouldn't give to hang 50 on those pricks.

I think you must be a bit older than me. I am from the Pepper/Curry years and I used to direct traffic for parking for the GTPD before the games for some beer money. If you were a student and had a parking pass, you better move your damn car by Friday night or they would tow that baby away bright and early Saturday morn. Seen dudes hungover and half dressed running down Techwood chasing after their car . . . LOL! Good times! Juniors . . . "I'll have a country brook." At that time, the Varsity printed on the boxes, cups, napkins . . . "No Food Over 12 Hours Old." LOL.
