Wanna make a wager? I say he gets in first ballot. You say he doesn't. Loser leaves for ___ months. 3? 6? 12?

No way he gets in on first ballot. Great player but short career and playing for a terrible franchise hurts him. Did he ever play in a meaningful game in his career? Probably best know for DWTS by the masses.

1st ballot is for guys like Charles Woodson and Peyton Manning. Big names, big careers, big games, commercial appeal.

I'm still holding out hope that someone here was on to something and he has one more year of college eligibility which he can cash in on five years removed from the pros. Imagine announcing he's going to come back here in 2023, and imagine the recruiting visits for the class of 22.

"Don't you want to play your first year with NFL Hall of Famer and New God of the Fourth World, Calvin Johnson?"

Please note that choosing to rain on this particular delusional parade may be hazardous to your health, and it would be wise for any such Yetmans to ensure that all of their doors and windows are locked at night. You have been warned.

I didn't make a judgement on the decision. It could be the difference of being a 1st ballot HOFer though.
why do you hate Calvin Johnson bro? You want him to be handicapped to make it on the 1st ballot?

The masses know who Calvin is if they are football fans, I mean Megatron was a pretty widely known nickname. That’s a stupid comment. It will be interesting to see the votes but I think a lot of voters will give him the benefit of being one of the most dominant players at his position while he played. There are guys with numbers over longer careers that were never the guy teams schemed for or who announcers talked about the way they did Calvin. It’s not just a numbers game.

I didn’t say it was just a numbers game, meat.
I think he’ll get in, just not first ballot. First ballot is for guys like Manning and Woodson who check every freakin box possible.

Your post was still stupid, because you apparently just can't help yourself.

Listing these off like Calvin isn't a big name and had no "commercial appeal" is retarded. You're retarded. He played for a öööö team which never made it past the first round of the postseason, and he's not going to make it in on the first ballot, yes great. But it's not like he's some no-name nobody. Go ahead with the "where did I say that?" öööö, I am not interested in bickering with you about this because I don't care about the NFL or the NFL Hall of Fame. I only bothered chiming in with this pointless post because it's almost astounding how everything you say, without fail, even when you take a position that's actually correct, you find a way to frame it more negatively for Tech or a Tech guy than it ever has to be. Did I mention you're retarded? You are unbearably petty and negative and you are retarded.

Retarded.

Compared to Peyton Manning and Charles Woodson he isn’t a big name, and doesn’t have nearly as much commercial appeal. He didn’t have as good of a career, he didn’t play in as many big games, he didn’t win Super Bowls or mvps, and he doesn’t hold as many records.

I don't have any further part in this discussion I want to play, but I do want you to know that I hate you. A lot. I hope the next time you drink milk, you find out the hard way that it is rancid.

Film, sports apparel, cars, and ESPN.

LOL. Lesser commercial appeal. LOL. That’s the HOF of commercials for an athlete.

Calvin Johnson made Quicken Loans a brand I can trust. I'm indebted to him for that forever.

Fortunately, there's Quicken Loans! With practically zero hassle, and markedly less physical violence and agony than I anticipated, I was able to pay Calvin once I remortgaged the core concept of the hypothetical home I hoped to refinance for the fifth time in four months! And thanks to the new Quickening program, I was able to afford the first two days of interest payments by taking out a loan on my very real, hell-bound soul and the vast amounts of energy it will unleash upon my death. And the timing could not have been better, since I'm scheduled to be Quixecuted in just two short hours for failure to pay on a loan Quicken made to a Guatemalan teenage girl who died in 1986! That's right! Quicken Loans and their corporate partners are the masters of time travel and they will hunt you through all of time and space and take their money right out of your delinquent ass! And at nearly no extra cost to you!

So what are you waiting for? Submit the essence of your being to the capitalist manifestation of Roko's basilisk today, and forsake those hopes and dreams you once hoped any of your descendants might have stood a chance to dream!

Quicken Loans. Something to cry about.
