2021 Spring Game Friday 4/23

Peery is a great passer. Good zip, great pocket presence, very accurate. The throw to McCollum in the back corner of the end zone would’ve been one of the best throws by a GT QB I’ve seen in a long time if McCollum were an inch or two taller.

I know I'm real late to the party, but completely HATE that crappy artificial turf. They had that crap 40 years ago when I was there and I was sooooo glad when they went back to grass.

Especially if your field is in the south, it looks cheap and it looks like your program is too cheap and second rate to afford to maintain grass properly. Alabama - Grass. LSU - Grass. South Carolina Cow College - Grass. Florida - Grass. Auburn - Grass. Texas A&M - Grass. Florida State - Grass. Tennessee - Grass. Ol' Miss - Grass. NCSU - Grass. Miss State - Grass. USC(E) - Grass. UGAG - Grass.

Mack Brown (Texas and UNC) - Turf. North Avenue Trade School - Turf.

No coincidence all those cow colleges have grass.

I like the 2 minute drill with all the starters. Pretty cool way to end it

I had never been near a college field before I was a student. The crown amazed me. It came up to at least the waist and maybe the chest of the people on the other side of the field

Shaw Industries has a lot of GT grads and Bud Shaw, although long gone, was a pretty big donor back in the day. Shaw had an inside track in getting a field put in. Our field always looked great until the last season of natural grass. IMO, we let the field turn to öööö to justify Shaw getting their crappy turf in there

I think as far as the starters go we are going to see a big step forward. But I worry about the depth of the team.

It was just so hard to tell if progress was made. I’ll admit sims arm looks a bit better but there were some possible picks out there.
