Why does that bother you? Seems like something silly to get all warped out of shape about.
Some people get upset about trophies. It’s a symbolic thing to them and they feel like the symbol has been cheapened.

Its an inevitable and good thing to put more teams in the playoff. I don't really see a problem with it. Will it increase the chance the dawgs get it? Duh, of course it does. The only thing I would really like to see different is to limit it to more conference champs for 8 slots then take the best ranked from the conference runnersup. The method of ranking will be important to eliminate conference bias. No independents allowed.

That’s exactly the point Have the playoff games be separate it’s pointless to combine the 2 In all honesty the ncaa would make even more doing that

Ncaa doesn't make anything off d1 cfb postseason, at least directly

Dear Ma Tech:
Vote no! 12 teams sucks!
Vote yes for max signings every year at 20, and/or restrict total players at 65.
This is an excellent idea but the dominant schools will never allow it. They will argue that it limits opportunities for players. This is the battle Coach Dodd tried to win in the 60's.

Exactly. If anything as more games get added they’ll increase the scholarship limit, never lower it.

That's a double-edged sword. If they did sneak in, there's a decent chance they could face an overmatched Notre Dame or Big 12 team.
The BCS had gotten to the pint where the SEC champ was pretty much automatically in, that sucked.

Absolutely. The bottom line is the more teams that get in makes the system fairer. When upsets start happening it will show that the last 80 years was the farce not the playoff system.

College football is well past anything related to college anymore. And my level of interest drops every single year.
It may just me getting older, but nowadays it seems more like "how much money can we get out of you"

I attend games with my 79 year old dad. Really don't know if I will continue once he can no longer attend.

I think the Alabama vs LSU debacle for a natty was the last straw.

Can you honestly say you wouldn’t want to go see a good tech football team? I don’t understand you guys. I don’t like the changes either but I still enjoy tech football and victories.

I wish the NFL could get the equivalent of a minor league system in place, but I know there is too much money being made to change the system in that way. Right now the main problem is that P5 football functions like a minor league but pretends to be a student athlete driven system of amateurs. That's the root of all the tension and conflict as well as the driver of these changes.

You nailed it. The problem the players have is they have no other way to get to the NFL so they are frustrated they “have to play school”. But the schools allow themselves to be pimped out to players who wouldn’t get admitted if they had to apply thru the regular admission process (some of course not all). And we the alumni allow it. The system will eventually break apart and I’ll enjoy watching it then watching it grow back in another form. Just like I’ll be watching MLB shutdown next year.
