You think USC will go after Collins? They can use a bump in recruiting and branding.
No.
They're gonna want a name and a better track record.
Don't be surprised to see Matt Campbell's name come up, maybe even James Franklin's.
I've seen Mario Cristobal's name too but Oregon has the money to match USC. Penn State probably does too.
I wouldn't be shocked if they take a run at Jimbo Fisher. A&M has the coin to keep him but man, you gotta think going to USC means a lot easier path to the CFP than having to go through Bama and LSU every year.

Depends on if you tailgate at the French Laundry or not.

(yeah, I know it's in wine country and a haul from there to Pasadena, but that one was just sitting there)
Just curious. I know UCLA had more. I’ll be honest. As uninterested as I am in the success of USC football, I do worry that interest in a long time powerhouse could wane so quickly. It’s saddening to be honest. I like seeing a packed Bobby Dodd and I like seeing a packed coliseum.

The NCAA had a hard on to punish USC after Reggie Bush

I watched a lot of the Stanford-USC game Saturday night (along with flipping over to the JaxState-FSU game) and Stanford just pwned USC that night. USC was a heavy favorite and they got smacked.

Anyone here ever live in LA? I did. The Mausoleum is in a really crappy area near Crenshaw on MLK, Jr. Blvd. that has somehow managed to get worse under the current woke mayor. No WAY I'm going near there after dark. Even Saturday afternoon is questionable. If they want full stadiums, they either need to play afternoon games or hire several hundred cops to patrol the area.

Some potential hires . . . no inside news, just guys I think could be successful there . . .

1) Jack Del Rio. An alum. Rumors were they tried to hire him in 2010.

2) Ken Norton, Jr. Yes, he's UCLA. So what? Kyle Whittingham in BYU but has done a good job for 16 years at Utah. Franbk Broyles was a Tech man who became a legend in Arkansas. It happens.

3) Matt Luke. Yeah, I know. Still.

4) Brent Venables. Yeah, I know again. Also, stiil

And of course, everyone is going to look at the flavors-of-the-month: Fickel, Campbell, Napier and Jamey Chadwell.

Yup, lived there about 35 years.Saw the NY Generals in the coliseum for walker's first pro game.
Take militia with you and don't stop at red lights if there's a crowd on the sidewalk.

I went to the Colorado game back in 2018 - a buddy is a season ticket holder. The decline hasn't really been sudden - Clay Helton took over pretty much right after we beat them in the Sun Bowl - Sarkisian lasted one season before they fired him on the way back from the Bowl game then Helton was given the job. Helton is really boring and can't seem to win any big games - the fans are just tired of him.

But boy, seeing a big game in the Coliseum is a treat. At least they stomped Colorado in the game I went to.
