It should be an interesting test for the defense. Howell is the kind of QB who historically lights us up, but I do think our secondary is legit. If we can generate even half the pressure that VT did on them, it will be a good game.

Generating pressure is something that is still out of reach with what we got. I also wish I could believe in our secondary as much as you do, but if UNC's receivers are decent then I'm worried.

Gibbs
Mason
Smith
Griffin
and CBK as an OL coach

If we can't figure out a way to score then we'll have another Pnope thread next week.
 
We may slow them down but we’re not going to be able to stop UNC’s offense. We don’t have the home run capability to win a shootout.

Game plan has to be the same as the Clemson game. We need to dominate TOP and keep the UNC offense off the field.

Huh? Why are we playing in Mercedes Benz?

We have one of the best stadiums in the country in BDS, and we only play at it like 7 times a year. We're going to sacrifice one of those times for MBS? Super lame

It does suck that we get a night game and it will be inside a probably half empty building.

Unless it is more money (which I don't see how it would be) I don't see the advantage of it.

I think the premise was to play one game a year against a Clemson or Notre Dame and sell even more tickets than Boddy Dodd could facilitate. Playing any of the North Carolina Schools in MBS kinda defeats that purpose.

This is THE game where we need to come out and bully them with a hard running game. They will be thinking about Yates a bit, but I think we might be able to cram the ball and wear them down. That will allow us to control TOP, then it's up to the defense to produce some stops/turnovers so we can get on the right side of this one. If we don't establish and lead with the run, we'll get raced on Saturday night.
