When is the last time we played poorly and won? 2018? IMO that’s tangible improvement.I'm not incredulous at the idea that we are improving, but this game is not really where I look to demonstrate that.
My thoughts exactly. That was an ugly game. Duke challenged our manhood and we came out flat. BUT it’s been a long time since we’ve been able to pull together a game winning drive and a stop to win a game like that. It’s a game we would have lost the last 2 years. Progress. When is the last time we played poorly and won? 2018? IMO that’s tangible improvement.

Do not. I repeat, do not. Maybe only the first two drives. Then take the W and move on.No such thing as a bad win when you are in our position. Granted, I am on a boy scout trip and haven't watched yet.
You might be forgetting a small detail that this is year three after a decade plus of triple option. This not a normal year three of a rebuild. No, that was a bad win. Glad we won, but it was still a bad win.
In year 3, a "good season" would be getting to 6 wins. I don't see that happening after back-to-back poor performances.
