Why not get him as OC dude put up top 10 offenses with pittsburgh for a few seasons. Now he is at a highschool in Florida, plus he is from atlanta So tell me why not.
 
Why not? Seriously, not a bad idea if Paterdude flames out. But would he come?
 
A. I don't see any reason to discuss new OCs until we have any indication we will even be hiring a new one.

B. Better to use the OC Replacement thread rather than a new one for every random coach.

C. A former NFLer who suddenly can't get a job is a bit of a red flag. I don't think he was liked by players and that would be a bad fit with Collins' culture.

Dude had issues everywhere he coached. A former NFL head coach who can’t find any other job in the NFL is a massive red flag. The NFL loves retreads. His history of issues doesn’t scream ideal role mode for 20 year olds.

Also don’t see many established NFL coaches wanting to be a part of the Juice Crew coaching staff.

Our OLine thru the first 6 Gms is ranked in the low 100s out of 130 FBS Level Programs!

Could all you "blame the OC, blame the QB, blame the play-calling", genre of idiots please tell us what Miracle Playcalls will work behind an OLine that poor and that unathletic?

Please tell us what HAILEY WILL DO that can make a difference?

For 11 straight years , HS OLs that had aspirations to play in the NFL ignored GT FB, and instead went to, ND, Stanford, Michigan, BC, Northwestern, et al

Given the fact that maybe 20% of T-Fr OLs are ready to Play just out of HS, it should be obvious to people smart enough to graduate from GT that it is damn near logistically impossible to rebuild the OLine in 2.5 Seasons worth of Games.

Case study:

Mark Whipple is the current OC at Pitt, his entire career he has been a journeyman coach and was thought to be a an idiot, "PNode level OC" when he was at the U of Miami(Fl) back when the Canes had weak OLs and horrible QB Play, now that he's at Pitt with a strong, talented OLine and a good QB, his play-calling at Pitt makes him look like he's an " Offensive Genius".

What changed with Whipple?

The Players that he's Coaching is what changed, it has always been about the Players and it will always be about the Players.

At some point all these unreasonable critics of PNode are gonna have to to come clean and admit they drank the kool-aid from a poisoned well from the previous HC that has lead them to believe that there are magical Playcalls that can overcome poor OLine play.

I admit there are reasonable criticisms of PNode, but at this point most of them are unreasonable criticisms, this is because a huge portion of our Fans just don't understand CFB in 2021 at a level that they should
 
I think the problem actually is the run game coordinator title. I’m not sure what that means in terms of play calling but it makes me think 2 philosophies are trying to be implemented at once.

You make a good point. Now tell me why we try the dive with this O line? A good OC plays to his strengths and can come up with ways to get the ball out quick. I have not seen pnut do that often just a thought. Also whipple has a good o line qb is ehhhhhh I will not consider pickett as a top qb Has not done anything in my eyes to change my mind.

This season Pickett is like 23 TDs vs 1 INT, that makes him a Top QB, not a Peyton Manning, not a generational player, but it does make him one of the Top QBs this year.

Also we can't throw 100% of the Time, we have to run at some point to keep defenses honest and to set up other parts of our Offense.

Hard to imagine a P5 Offense where a Team never runs a dive-Play?

Why aren't you asking why an OLine with three 6th yr players and another 5th yr player among their starting 5 cannot get enough push to run all aspects of PNode's playbook, that seems to be the real question rather than asking for miracle play-calling?

Not saying we shouldn't run the ball, but when we get pushed for multiple weeks in the middle that is something we should try to stray away from. For the moment not saying we should just give it up.
The pickett argument off of stats is just dumb he should show me, Bailey Zappe is 26 TDs to 4 Ints do you even know who he is? Not wanting to drag this argument out, but I just want us to be good. If it's with pnut or someone else I don't care just win.

You are comparing a guy putting up Stats at a directional school and their crap scheduling vs a Guy putting up Stats for a Team that is 5-1 in a P5 Conference, that has already won on the Road at Tennessee in front of maybe 85K

Directional Kentucky where Zappe's Potato Chips plays QB is a G5 school, why didn't you find a P5 QB for comparison to Pickett?
