Fire Thacker

Might Chad Glasgow, DC at TCU be available now ?

That assumes Collins is willing to release some or all of his defensive staff. I see no indication he is willing to hold anyone accountable and I see no indication Stansbury will force him to take any action.

Then Stansbury must be bad at math.

25,000 empty seats x $50 seat x 7 home games = $8,750,000

So I count just under 9 million reasons Thacker is more expensive to retain than dismiss.

See if patternson will take a reduced salary while he's being paid his severance

So you are guaranteeing that if we replace Thacker we will sell 25K more tickets every game? Because that's what it sounds like you are doing.

If we fire Thacker and we don't sell 25K more tickets, are you guaranteeing to pay the AA the difference between the tickets we sell and the number you guarantee we will sell?

I think he's implying we'll sell 25K fewer tickets if we don't replace him. Not that your point still doesn't stand either way lol

By your math, Collins should be nervous.

Yep, but just like real ones, this one is only temporary.

I know. I'm not trying to beat the horse to death as we've pretty thoroughly canvassed our opinions on this in the other threads. :) But despite whether or not you believe it's in CGCs ability, he may dig himself a hole deep enough that recruits lose confidence in him and we have to switch coaches.

I think if the gtaa decides a new coach is the best way forward, I think Patterson might be the best available one provided the money can get sorted. I believe there is ample precident for taking a reduced salary while the last programs buyout is in effect, and I think it would help bridge some of the gap.

If Thacker is fired and a competent replacement is found who turns around the defense, yes, there will be no issue picking up another 25k sold tickets and I'd be helping pay for 3-4 of them.

Much higher salary, and possibly even over more years. The stadium would need to be aggressively empty AND have most of the empty seats as unsold tickets. That won't happen until next season at the earliest.

Do you buy tickets now?

All the way up until the NIU game. I'm on pause until staff changes are made. My ticket money gets redirect into the A-T Fund instead. Typically either WBB, VB, or AD Initiative depending on who has the hot hand. Golf is fully endowed and doesn't need it. I'm skeptical of coaching in baseball (pitching coach), MBB, and FB so for now those are cut off. If Pastner can just keep recruiting like he has recently, not lose to any teams from 1 bid conferences, and absolutely blast UGAg who he's still winless against ... I'll bring in Pastner to the money train.
