Northern Illinois was a bad team on opening weekend in who got better and won a bunch of close games. Georgia Tech was a bad team on opening weekend who didn’t get that much better and lost almost all of the close games.

I think it’s fairly obvious that Northern Illinois is a much better team than anyone gave them credit for coming into the year. Probably a product of “chip on their shoulder” type attitude by the players and coaches with everyone pointing at their winless record last year.

The MAC is a decent football conference their champion is always someone tough (granted N I’ll has work to do on that front with getting one more win and the Champ game). It’s too bad we failed to beat them early on. Would’ve been a nice feather.

Heck Northern Illinois might sneak into some rankings by years end. This year is definitely full of some missed opportunities. Next year will be better from a results standpoint. Hopefully a lot better.

Pass the pipe. There is no way a bottom feeder 3 loss MAC team that squeaked out multiple wins in their shitty conference ends up ranked. None. There’s multiple 5 or 6 loss SEC teams that would get voted in first.
