If this was all true, good Lord this really does put a further bad light on Stansbury. You do not make a move when you don't know the results. It's like a good attorney never asks a question he doesn't already know the answer to. And what of Key? Hey, ole buddy yeah, I know it looks like you were the back up plan, no really, you're who we wanted from the start. Jeez, this is just horrible management.

No reason to give BK a raise. At best, if you think $600k isnt enough to get 110% out of him, give him some incentives. Like $200k for a bowl. Or $4^x where x is the number of wins. Win one game you get four dollars. Make a bowl you get $4096. Win 9 and you are talking a little over $250k and 10 is a little over $1M. AA would need to spend a little bit on insurance for 11+ wins but based on likelihood it would cost about three fifty.

I don't see how TStan did anything wrong here unless he threw out an offer first before putting out feelers if Godsey was interested. Maybe he didn't? If he did though then you have to put out an offer to get a reply. Other beat writers would just write it off as a "courtesy" offer even if it wasn't to save the program face. It happens all the time with coaching searches.

It was TIC, but I wish you could've helped Todd structure the HC's contract.
