Gibbs to Bama

The portal is going to really even things out. So who got 2 of the top 5 guys in the portal anyway?

Alabama's feature back this year hasn't been as good as those in the past but like has been said he is a senior and his backup is a soph who was the best RB recruit that year. All these great RBs have always had backups (frequently the "next" one) who could be great. Just throw as many bodies as you can at it and take the best one. I could see him shine as a 3rd down back and not get the wear and tear. A lot more of his yards will be at 2:30 on national TV as opposed to 11 on Bally Southwest, even if he does not have as many total.

Get used to it. The new player portal of immediate eligibility is all about $$$ and little about college and education.

Is there any indication that Gibbs is receiving any NIL money?

He should do very well at Bama as he was a threat every play with öööö blocking. Can only imagine how much better he will look with their line and a team that actually has the ability to complement him.

Good move for Gibbs. Was watching Barn-Bammer & the announcer remarked that Satan only had three 4 star RBs left on the roster as all the others had either left the program or were hurt. Frankly, I’m surprised he didn’t forfeit having to play with such a depleted roster. Gibbs fills an immediate void in Bammer’s roster.

He'll likely see a reduction in touches, but a huge increase in national exposure. Sadly, our irrelevance means a lot of people outside the ACC have no clue who he is yet. All it's going to take is a couple big plays at Bama for that to change.

Outside the ACC?

I hate to lose him but in the end, he has to make the best decision for him. Just glad he didn't go to the cesspool. Anywhere but Athens.

Gibbs has such good field vision and has amazing open-field moves. He’ll be a monster behind Bama’s big O-line. While he’s no longer a Jacket, I can’t wait to watch him run all over the rest of the SEC. He has clear NFL potential, so I’m happy he will have a legit O-line to block for him.

I have to admit that it would be kind of hilarious if he never sees the field. At GT, he was the BMOC, at Bama, he's just another talented football player. I don't wish anyone any ill will but you make a good point - he isn't the main attraction on that roster.

I wish him well, good for him. Whatever. A bunch of cucks in here.
Glad I'm not the only one who feels if you aren't with us you're against us.
IMO, I will never look at Gibbs as a Tech man. I know, he doesn't care. But when I see a pic like the one the other day from Demaryous Thomas' service and I see Nesbitt, Burnett, Johnson, and Choice, those are Tech men. Gibbs now.....bye....

Whether he’s a tech man or a bama man I’m still cheering for him. At least he’ll have a chance to beat Georgia now which is definitely something we never could have given him.

I don't look at him as a "Tech man" necessarily and I won't be adopting Bama as a second team or anything, but I don't really understand why it makes you a cuck to wish him well. I'll wish anyone who played for us well as long as they don't transfer to U[sic]GA or trash us publicly. Seems like basic human decency.

Maybe I'm just getting old, but I find the whole "if you're not with us you're against us" attitude exhausting, and part of the reason for some of the actual problems in our world today.
