I ask again, how is Tebow different than Vince Young or Mike Vick regarding whether he can play QB in the NFL?
I think Tebow will end up at QB in the NFL. He wants and will be given a shot, and he won't fail. The fact that he could play other positions successfully is irrelevant unless he wants to give up on QB.
All the NFL evaluators suffer from groupthink IMO.
Lonestar, I am not stating he will not be a good QB -- but draftwise, all the NFL evaluators do do groupthink for the draft, in that they look at fundamentals -- and his arm mechanics, including his release, are poor. Secondly, Vick and Young had better arm mechanics -- and also avoided tackles when making a run. Tebow runs over people on his runs -- and you do not let your franchise QB try to run over Ray Lewis or Ed Reed.
Not saying he cannot be successful/winner at the big league, but he will not be a first rounder. Just like Charlie Ward and Joe Hamilton were not first day/round selections, albeit they were winners.
I believe Tebow, if he has another season similar to this one, will be regarded probably as the best player ever to play the college game -- which is great accolades in and of itself. The jury is still out in my mind as to how well he will be as a NFL player.
He and Urban have another year to prove he can play at the next level. Look for FL's offense to change some next season to feature his arm more.Lonestar, I am not stating he will not be a good QB -- but draftwise, all the NFL evaluators do do groupthink for the draft, in that they look at fundamentals -- and his arm mechanics, including his release, are poor. "Sorry I'm late," Tebow began. "There was a six-year-old boy with
cancer in row 54 and I had to make my way through the crowd to heal
him."

Yep - I saw the same thing. He definitely did not declare to the NFL draft and will be returning to Florida next season.
Unless Urban shows us all that we're wrong about him.and he will be drafted and projected as an H-back, just next year.
i never said he would go pro this year
Unless Urban shows us all that we're wrong about him.
I don't think that's why he's coming back. But I wouldn't be surprised if Urban takes all the negative talk from the pros as a challenge. He sure ain't coming back to prove what a great H-back he would be.
P.S.
I don't think improving his draft status has very much to do with his decision either way. It's more like Matt Leinhart. He's a superstar where he is and having fun, why cut that short?
Unless Urban shows us all that we're wrong about him.
he is not trying to change his playing style at, in my opinion, why would he? it has won him two titles
Supposedly, Urban hired Scott Loeffler as the new QB coach for Florida to improve his mechanics and get him a better draft position for next year. Scott also has prior relationship with Tebow, as he was the one recruiting him for Michigan.
