Geoff Collins Highlights Thread

Weird question to ask a player. Dontae did a nice job of recognizing and avoiding that.

That said, I guess we made some promises to Mcduffie because theres no reason Dontae shouldn’t be getting 15+ touches every game.

In 4 years of god awful offense, the kid has averaged;
2019 - 6.9 yards per carry
2020 - 6.5 ypc
2021 - 5.6 ypc
2022 - 6.2 ypc

Our defensive genius coach does know he’s supposed to stop the other team from scoring, not ours. Doesn’t he?

He should be playing on Sundays. He's been masterful at making something from nothing for years.

It's yet another indictment of the coaching that there's been an incredible abundance of talent in the backfield and yet the offense hasn't been able to produce.

He did boast a 94% approval rating back in 2018.

“I would have liked the opportunity to throw more with Luke, but having empathy for what was going on in that game on the other sideline and the hot seat or whatever he’s on, just didn’t really feel like it was right, where if it was a couple score game Luke would have gotten to throw more there,” Kiffin said.

Embarrassing

Absolutely pathetic.

Holy moly, they treated us like Montana Directional State. Their gameplan was obviously pedestrian because they had no reason to show their hand. Such an embarrassment.

I noted in game thread Lane was calling a conservative game and its was nothing we were doing to slow them down.

That’s actually one of the most humanizing things I’ve ever read about Lane.

I mean they ran a power running play off tackle the whole game. We sat in our 4-2-5 defense, lined up incorrectly, and had our "best" LB running in the wrong gap. Our defensive coaching staff never adjusted or corrected the issue.

The real question is what would have happened if Kitten didn't hold back?

I’d like to apologize for voting yes.

Sorry everyone.
As even beej67 said in the thread: there was reason to be optimistic. The fact that the AD allowed himself to think overhauling a division title contending roster was the greatest feat in college football led us to where we are today. It also helps tell how he felt about Paul Johnson and his roster.
