OC Buster Faulkner Offensive Playbook: Dive & POP

I heard CBK talk about knowing what he wants for Georgia Tech's offense. WTTE of knowing what Tech needs to do to be successful offensively. He also mentioned the importance of CBF being able to work with input from others on the staff. It will be interesting as to what Tech actually does on the field. I think Wienke is going to have a big role in not only coaching but playbook and game plan development. Do we still not yet have a WR coach?

I've seen samples of what CBF has done in 3 different places as O.C. and they all have looked a little bit different. It will be quite interesting to see what Tech looks like offensively next year.

Well OC B. Faulkner's scheme is suppose t be easy on QB, OL..... I bet they are all on the same page. (CBK, CBK, CCW)... I think that comment has more to do with the last two OCs under Clown Collins (CDP and CCL ) not taking input. Clearly they wouldn't have hired him if he wasn't a team guy.

So that was an attraction to me, just that alone, talking to him and watching him play over the last five, six years. He obviously knows how to run the ball as well given how they ran all over us at MTSU. But I definitely like the idea of him having a Mike Leach influence.

Agree I really like the staff... I also like the size of the big uglies they brought in with this class. Some 300lb beef on both lines.

Looks like a good hire at WR coach. WKU has put up a pile of passing yards this season.

WKU had the 2nd best passing offense in the country this year. Average 352 yds/game just behind Washington and in front of Tennessee.

Looks like we are going to be an air raid passing offense!

If it's anything like Hatcher's or what WKU and GS run... The QB in that scheme releases the ball extremely fast. Lots of screens and short passes. GS and WKU threw the ball about 570 times this season. Not sure about WKU, but the QB at GS only got sacked a few times despite subpar OL play. Makes it more forgiving to recruit OL. There's a lot to like about that offense - it's fun to watch too.

Pretty sure that was the game where the MTSU coach pulled CPJ aside after the game and told him that they had picked off all of Ted Roof's defensive signals.

MTSU hung 49 points on Mr. Roof's defense that fine afternoon.

If all this is true, it's for sure that Simms would never have been the starter had he stayed. Looks to me like it's tailor-made for Pyron and maybe even Gibson too.
