fumble fest

All I know is that as bad as the team may have looked, those gold tops looked great. I would love to see those on a Saturday. If we're gonna fumble, we may as well fumble in style.

Thanks for the link. Exactly what I was looking for...

With that said and after watching it... I'm wondering if there is a separate OFFENSIVE highlight video coming later. I was kind of expecting a few big yardage TDs or something. First third of the video was definitely highlights of fumbles.

Definitely, good to see some of the new plays that's been implemented though.

Imagine that PJ probably doesnt want some of the offensive highlights released as they might give more insight into our new formations/plays. There were some good passing plays and I wouldnt be suprised if film is not released on them...

Gee, another uniform thread, Wally!

I actually thought they were wearing the throwbacks for awhile. They were that close. I liked them with the white pants. Very sharp. However, I've heard they aren't even going to make a gold jersey this year.

They are changing the color scheme. The jerseys are going back to the original Gold like in '07...

Oh no not the old gold we use to have i use to love it but now i see that its more of a vegas gold
Why not just do white we look sharp and you can't go wrong with the shades of that color

I honestly could care less about the color. If they have hot pink jerseys, and they win then, that is my favorite color.

Are you serious or just making this up?
Yes, I would love a source on this information. It's not that I think you're lying, it's just that I don't believe you.

As for what we're wearing while winning, if you don't care that's fine. But I know we'll win, so I'd like to look good while doing it.

we should just keep this old gold- Mizzou's hoops team wears it looked sharp and our uni's were growing on me..

Gold Jerseys would be better with white numbers, just like the blue jerseys would have been better with white numbers/white pants

I'm tired of being russel athletics' ho
The gold was finally back to tradition and now its changing

Okay, two neat offensive plays I saw from the game:

One is an A back end around, that we ran twice.
Another is an A back shuffle pass, that we ran twice.

I don't recall seeing us run the shuffle pass before.

I don't remember an A-back end around last season either. I remember a few WR reverses and exactly ONE attempt at an A-back, inside counter type play.

That inside counter was a cool little play last year. It looked like a Wing-T type play. I think we ran it against Clemson. It had some room initially, but either the blocking broke down, or Clemson converged Very fast, for no gain. We didn't run it again all season.

I think that was a WR end around (actually more like a reverse w/o the first pitch) you saw to Melton both times, IIRC. The A-back pulls almost every play, and is not an end. The shovel pass is a very nice play. Went for about 60 yards on one, IIRC, and the other was incomplete.

The main two things I noticed from the T-Day were the passes to every zone on the field, and the speed increase (to which I attribute most of the fumbles).

We were executing the O a good bit faster than last year. The mesh was faster, pitch relationships were much better, pitches were much crisper and more accurarate, and the backs were much more polished at taking the pitch and turning upfield. All these led to 800+ total yards offense despite 8 turnovers.

anyone know where I can find the (un)official stats for the T-day game?

That's not the original gold. I'd rather keep what we have than go back to the piss yellow unis we wore then.

If you think Chan's teams wore traditional Tech uniforms or that the color gold we used then was traditional, your experience with Tech only goes back 10-12 years. That is NOT our gold.

I say that if we get into a BCS bowl next year, we wear the blue jersey and gold pants again. We need to stop this recent blue jersey curse.

Ncjacket i was refering to the gold we are wearing at the moment as our traditional gold the way i see it the 70's gold was the traditional and what we have now is it or as close as it will get. Just to throw this out there but the jersey we have now are in my top 3 behind: 1. 1970's (uva thursday night game throw backs) 2.1990 .
But 2008 is barely infront of the black jerseys we had in 85
See i know my team's traditional colors to an extent
