2023 GT Spring Ball Thread

He's got that pillow of 11 million dollars to sleep on. He don't give no **** about the collateral damage he left behind.
I have it on good authority that TFC put all of it in SVB accounts not insured by the FDIC. Easy come, easy go :rotfl:

If Key had said, "Coach, I'm George Burdell, sports editor of the Technique" ....
I joined the Technique staff back in ‘83 and my first assignment was to cover our basketball game against Michigan at the Omni. The editor told me to go to the GTAA and introduce myself to Coach Cremins.

So I go to Cremins office and I’m literally shaking. Cremins comes out from behind his desk -Perry Clark was there - and is completely disarming - made a scared student into a confident writer. Cremins had that intangible - he could infuse confidence like no one since has been able to touch.

Over a year later, I graduate and my parents are there taking pics of me against the Ramblin Wreck outside the TiT and who walks up and says “Hi George! Congratulations on graduating! Are these your parents from Augusta?”

There are no words for that day. No words.

Wasn’t Collins also from that coaching tree? (ducks for cover)
I think you need to actually coach under those guys to be considered part of their coaching tree. He never coached under Saban, and he only had 2 years as an LB coach under O'Leary at UCF. He's more like a branch of a öööötier tree that tried to be grafted on.

Observe how fast Key answers the questions from the press - extremely detailed responses delivered at lightening speed.

Its like when you interview somebody, ask a couple questions and the candidate just nails every question - his vision is crystal clear and it seems to me that he has meticulously thought through thousands of details - nothing will be left to chance.
It is known as being prepared without bullcaca.

He's the kudzu on their coaching trees. Creeping all over their majesty claiming it as his own, but the more you see it the more you come to realize he's nothing but an invasive ööööing weed.

But I need to know who decelerated the fastest when they hit the ground so we can award someone with the golden pancake sceptre and give him the week off.

Ordinarily I wouldn’t be keen on the coach letting the team find their own identity but after the Collins debacle I think it is appropriate in this circumstance.

I never personally met him, but i got the sense from watching interviews that Pastner was that way. Shame he couldn't put it all together.

I feel the same - give Pastner Duke-level talent and he'd kill everybody. But we were very generous with the timeline so no hard feelings.

I heard that Coach Clown actually started this entire bank collapse panic when investors discovered his involvement they knew it was a sure loser and bailed
