Hey guys, I know there is already a thread, but another won't hurt.

I am assuming many of us are having the same problems against online opponents so I wanted to give some tips and receive some in return.

I have found that you CANNOT force the option, or running the ball period. People assume that since we use GT, we will be running TO over and over and they will sell out to stop it. Some use contain, pinch tackles, use backside DE, slant, play the run, etc.

So what do you do? You run a formation like tackle over or trips left/right so you can get an a-back slot receiver. Many times, in zone, no one will be over the slot and you can hit the slant or seam route every time. It is a simple hot route and can be accessed through audible (square) and hitting up on the right joystick. You can pass for a zillion yards (like CPJ says lol) out of those formations.

What this does, it doesn't allow them to "play run", "use backside ends", etc. So, what I do, I call an option play. If they have no one over the slot, or if i see him pinching tackles and using backside ends, I audible to a quick slant or seam. If there is someone over the slot and they are selling out on run, they are probably in man and the out route will be 9/10 times. Send the outside receiver deep and slot on the out.

Of course, if they are playing pass, I just run the option.

I am 4-7 so I am no guru, however, I am 3-0 over my last three because I stopped forcing the run. My stat lines have looked like 20 pass att for 200+ yards and 20 run att for 200+ yards. Dwyer loves taking the load option pitch to the house :)

Also, if they are using linebackers to play the option, they usually play the pitch, cut it up field with nesbitt.

PLEASE add your own experiences.

I'm 5-1 with a 4 game win streak, the last three being Georgia, Texas and then Florida. I was pretty happy to beat those three in a row, but In all my games I've never won or lost by more than a TD(except for when I played Oregon and beat them 27-0). I can usually get a way with forcing the run, but maybe everyone I have played just isn't that good. Anyway, I still feel like I don't have a very good strategy.

I am 5-2 with a loss to ohio state and a heartbreaker to the U...but I am on a 4-game winning streak! I do not pass the ball very often (5 times max per game). The sweep has worked very well for me when teams just stack the line and the play happens so fast to keep the linebackers from reaching me with decent blocks. Other than that I just run the load option or speed option unless the defense isn't stacked. Then I just hand it to D-Train up the middle everytime.

I am impressed you won against those teams. More so with Florida since they are just ridiculous in the game. I find it tough running the option on their defense when they bust through the O-line so quick! :bash:

My only loss came against Wisconsin my second game, off of a last second hail mary. But yeah I was happy to beat Florida. Maybe I should play the game while intoxicated more often.

I've never lost a game of video football.

I always come out in the normal set, triple option. If they are in a five man front, I just start licking my lips. I am able bust JD up the middle for an avg. of 7-10 yds every time. When they start bringing the safeties up, I audible to a quick pass, and hit either receiver for 10+ yds.

I've found that you can gain yards easily every time. You just have to be willing to cut it upfield if there is a guy on the QB and the pitch man.

i put hill at 2nd string wide receiver because he's a better blocker. with him and thomas both in the game they normally take out the cornerback completely. sending the a-back on a streak is always a good play as well. any other lineup adjustments yall make? any defensive plays yall run alot?

I play as UGA and throw every pass to the defensive end.

I never thought a hail mary was possible with a prevent defense in this game. Proved me wrong when I was playing Tennessee with 2 seconds left. Man was I really pissed!!!

Man, recruiting is really pissing me off. The kids are just randomly switching their commits at the very last minute, even when I've been their leader all season. I've already lost four recruits out of nowhere like this.

EASports has gone out of their way to represent schools as accurately as possible. This is all a reaction from the Dontae Aycock conspiracy. In fact, I bet EA paid Aycock and Auburn to do this.

I've heard others complain about this as well. They always leave for Alabama, too.
