Greg Paulus starting QB at Syracuse

Are they playing Notre Dame again this season? The Cuse beating Fat Chuck was a highlight of last season.

The new head coach, Marrone, use to coach OL here at GT under O'Leary. He was a great coach and recruiter. He left GT to be OL coach at UGA, which I wasn't happy about.

I hope he does well up at Cuse. Other than him jumping ship here I always liked the guy.

I can't wait to see Paulus use his instincts and flop to the ground at the sight of a hard-charging defensive lineman.

Honestly, I'm pretty impressed. They're a decent football team, and for him to move in like that take a starting position speaks well of his athleticism.

Mr. Bean is such an awesome coach, he probably taught him how to play quarterback in his spare time.

Decent? They've won 10 games combined in the last 4 years. Let's not get carried away because they beat a bad ND team, they also lost to Akron.

Coach K is great....he's one of only a couple of College Coaches that look like their school's mascot. Coach Cheney from Temple is the other.

If anyone can recall any other coach/mascot separated-at-births....let's have them!

Yea, that Cuse/ND game spoke alot more about Notre Dame then Syracuse. You don't win two games by being a good team. But you do lose to Greg Robinson by being a bad one.

If an ACC crew officiates one of their games I expect the opposing defense will foul out.

It's not like its Winston-Salem State, Pfeifer, or Limestone or some tiny nothing school. Its a D1 football program. If you're not even remotely impressed by that, then you have no concept for what's involved athletically to be able to play at that level.

+1

Being a 1st stinger at any D-I school is impressive. Especially after being separated from football as long as Paulus has been.

Interesting. Does that mean he has 4 years of eligibility now at Syracuse? If so he could be the next Chris Weinke.

Can I get the side by side on that one?

pretty sure that he has ONE year left. you get 5 years from first enrolling to play four years. he has one year left (since he didnt RS) to play

this aint rocket science, kyle, same rules apply as for other football athletes

Actually, even if he'd redshirted in basketball (making him 5 years from enrollment), he would still have one year.
