the biggest gripe I have is that we extended his contract the year before we fired him

POT, like O'Leary said. Weaklings love to Pile On Top. Its because they rarely make any tackles themselves, its much easier just to hit someone when they are already down
if the posters had a smidgen of the decency of the man they decry, they wouldnt be doing it
irony in action
Gailey was the Chiefs' offensive coordinator last season under former coach Herm Edwards. Haley was the offensive coordinator for the Cardinals during their run to the Super Bowl last season before being hired to replace Edwards.
Gailey's problem is he doesn't learn. I've never seen someone who cannot evolve at all. His offensive mantra seems to be that mistake free/ conservative football will win 55% of the time.
I don't feel badly for him at all.
The Gailey era is over, but let's not forget that Gailey left PJ with more talent than O'Leary left Gailey.

Agreed Bandit. I think the talent is pretty close either way.
except in one important area:
QB for the system they are playing in. O'Leary left Gailey with:
A.J. Suggs
Damarius Bilbo
Brian Camp
none of whom could run a pro offense
Gailey left Paul Johnson with:
Josh Nesbitt
a perfect fit for the TO
i prefer Paul Johnson by a wide margin, but dont understand why people so love to slam Gailey
