Tech vs CO already getting attention

Bullshit. I was at the game. We didn't get boatraced by any means. We got shafted by the refs and they got bailed out a couple times. That's what made the score lopsided to begin with.
Best part of being there was hearing the bowl sponsor' hype guy's comment about the refs.

What a miserable day.

I’m thinking about going out the week before to re-visit Rocky Mountain NP (which was still mostly snowed in last time I was there) and maybe Dinosaur National Monument and some other stuff. Should be a fun trip to open the season.

DNM has to be one of the most underrated places in the country. It's should def be a national park. Assuming you're coming from the East (steamboat is a great stop), drive the Yampa Bench Road from Elk Springs into the park. It's super scenic and almost no one on it(also unpaved). It's a great direct way to Echo Park and the confluence of of the Yampa and Green Rivers. The dinosaur quarry is pretty cool and the trails around there are worth it. It's a pretty and very uncrowded place. NW Colorado is also pretty tight. Almost no one around. There's a cool bikerish type bar in Dinosaur. Rangely has a few more restaurants. Another place nearby you can check out is Fantasy Canyon in Utah (South of vernalb- don't go if it has been raining). If you want to see petroglyphs in the area, check out : https://www.gjhikes.com/2012/12/dinosaur-national-monument.html?m=1

If you want any dispersed camping locations, hit me up. There are a lot of cool spots around.

Awesome, thanks. So far we’ve laid out a route and booked hotels for the week before the game (not campers). Kind of an aggressive point to point itinerary, but we’re pretty good at that.

Friday: Fly in, drive to Boulder area
Saturday: RMNP, end up in Grand Lake on the east side
Sunday: Drive to DNM, spend night in Vernal
Monday: More DNM and other nearby stuff, spend night in Vernal
Tuesday: Drive to Colorado NM, spend night in Grand Junction
Wednesday: Black Canyon south rim, spend night in Montrose
Thursday: Black Canyon north rim/Curecanti NRA, spend night somewhere east of Gunnison
Friday: Drive to Boulder and kick CU’s ass
Sat-Mon: TBD, fly home Monday evening

We’ve done part of RMNP and I’ve done all of Black Canyon before, so we have a decent feel for those. Have only skimmed Dinosaur and Colorado so far. We’ll have a sporty SUV but not serious 4WD.

Which came shortly after Santa Claus was booed. He had to say it. They knew.
Funniest part to me was when he gave the cooler away to the GT fan and said, "This is something the refs can't take from you."

I think the loudest boo was right after Harvey got the flag and he came on screen and said, "Is everybody having a good time??"

You left out the stop at the dispensary.

If anyone is planning to make the trip from the Savannah area, there are direct flights to Denver on United. Small planes though so limited seating.

Frontier also offers a direct flight, but its frontier.

But it was nice to see all us Tech fans of one mind about the refs. Right or wrong, it was magnificent.
Don't know or care where the refs were from, that lower tier bowl doesn't get any conference's A or B Team of officials...... you're lucky to get the C or D team.... Guess which ones we got?

When conferences go up to 18 they have to have an "I" team of refs. Mark me down for that guess.

Game or plane tickets?
Game. Stupid order platform kept telling me I couldn't have the seats I picked because after my two, there would only be one seat left in the row. Then, as I was looking for two others, someone grabbed the two I had picked. I'm in 119 about halfway up. Good seats I think. Oh, and no service fee so bite me, ticketmaster.

I got mine on Stubhub and it says they won’t be available until Gameday. That makes me a little nervous but oh well. All is purchased now except the rental car.

I went thru that in Dublin - effing hated it - was a nervous Wreck until I got 'em in my wallet. Haven't looked at flights/hotel/car yet - should probably get moving on that.

Boulder doesn’t appear to be all that big. It looks like the equivalent of trying to get a hotel room in Athens on a game weekend. The few hotels actually in Boulder are kinda pricey. Denver is 45 minutes or so away which furthers the Athens comparison.
