Okay, first of all, I was amazed at our 24-0 lead in the second, then equally amazed at how we somehow stopped scoring and gave up 27 points... but the whiteout looked AMAZING, both in person and on the ESPN replay I saw when I got back.

Anyways, on that last Clemson drive when it was 30-27, after they played "Zombie Nation" for the kickoff to Clemson, that entire drive was the loudest I have ever heard BDS. The student section AND the East and West stands were screaming and pumped up. It was so loud to me (in the south stands) that it wasn't even noise, it was a ringing buzz in my ears.

when i watched the ESPN 360 replay, it drowned out the announcers at times.

Anyone else notice that?

I was watching it on TV with 6 people up here in NJ. The cameras couldn't focus on the crowd, nor the game, because the stadium was literally rocking. And Chris Fowler repeatedly mentioned "and. it. is. LOUD!" Our guests were amazed... the closest thing to college football they've ever seen is a Rutgers game.

I definitely think Notre Dame 06 was louder.

Loudest for me was after late fumble recovery to wrap up the dawg kill in '85. It was actually painful. I remember Swilling covering his ear holes because it hurt.

The day Michael Johnson sacked the MD QB three times in a row to seal the win would have been about as loud, I would think.

I couldn't agree more. I don't think I've heard it louder, and definitely not in my section (124).

I am hoarse today, and my ears are still ringing - no joke.

Thank you, that made me laugh!

Ahh, yes. Sadly that was four years before I was born... Wasn't that the foggy night with the Gary Lee kickoff return? The last game in the "U" shape BDS?

I forgot about the Maryland goal line stand... but still, I think this one was close to it.

Even section 105, which can be full of old farts (no offense to anyone), was rockin' last night. It was incredible. Great night at BDS. If we have any more games like this, I'll either have to drink a lot more or get seats closer to BuzzMD and a large bottle of nitroglycerin.

Definitely one of the louder games I've been to...top 3 if nothing else(Some people forget the end of that Maryland game a few years ago too)

Also, besides the new guests that I brought with me..I was fortunate enough to meet a group of foreign students(freshman) who had never been to a game before. The crowd energy got to them and before I knew it, I was cheering with them all the while explaining the rules and how the game works. It was great.

Just get me some seats close to you. :) Although I do enjoy the view from where I am at as well.

Probably didn't hurt that they let in 11k students to fill the 9k seats in the student section and then put the 2k extra in the empty seats in, I believe, 219. Filled up a little more of the stadium with white and got passionate fans in another part of the stadium.

Yes, the execution for getting the people to the upper north gates after the south endzone filled up left a little to be desired and people got in late, but I like the idea that they were putting more students in the game when there was an opportunity.

That was magical, seriously. I doubt anything can top that game.

Still at the top of my list of live sporting events I've attended, and I don't see anything knocking it off in the near future. It was just the perfect storm of so much hype for ND, gameday being there, us really having a talented but not nationally known team, and ND fans traveling surprisingly poorly.
