What are the chances of having a 1 loss big 12 team?
Texas has the best bet but they have to get by Oklahoma, Oklahoma St, Texas Tech, and probably Nebraska in the championship game. I can see 2 losses coming easily.
Oklahoma State, Oklahoma, Texas Tech, and Nebraska are unlikely...
This opens up a 1 loss MNC possibility for GT.
Of course you still have Penn St and Michigan (and possibly Ohio State) in the Big 12 but I think they drop 2 as well.
This leaves USC which always finds a way to lose 2 they shouldn't.
A 1 loss ACC team is looking good for the championship.
The winner of the SEC championship game will be a contender.
