.... or so says Coach Johnson! Honestly, we have all discussed the Miami game and we are ticked about how bad we looked. But you know what, there is not another coach I would rather have right now righting the ship that CPJ! He knows our D is soft, he knows our O line can't block, he knows opposing defenses are going to put 27 players in the box against us.

In the past Gailey would give the song and dance and continue to allow players to screw up. CPJ knows what he is doing and holds his players accountable! True me, this crap aint gonna continue. Not saying we will not get beat again, but he will get the leaking holes in the ship fixed.

Go Jackets, knock the tar out of the Heels!!!

I think he knew that against UGAg, LSU, JSU, Clemson, and Miami. He didn't do much to fix them, at least yet.

I doubt next Sunday everyone is doing the woe is us thing and jumping off the ship.

GT is so screwed. The defense is soft, the DC is soft. The team also plays like they deserve something. They suck. Pure, plain, and simple.

End Sarcasm.

Hopefully not. There are zero excuses Saturday against UNC. This game is probably the most pivotal in the season besides the Georgia game in terms of fan support.

I agree, I don't really understand why our team seems to show a lack of intensity... do they want to be an average team??? If they have their hands on their hips and are wheezing in the 2nd quarter looking like they don't give a ****, like at Miami, in front of 50k at Bobby Dodd.... well, lets just say that would be very depressing.

You mean other than win 3 of those games? Pretty stupid post Xihix.

A win is a win, sure, but there's no reason for a team to just put all those points on us. If he knows the defense is soft and can't block, he has to do something about it.

Winning ain't enough, haven't you heard. The team has to look like we want them to when they win.

We saw people left and right last year jumping off bridges after UVA last year as well. Fans always listen to all the positive reports other fans are telling them and always set themselves up for a huge letdown when the team actually does not have a perfect season. It's happened like clockwork ever since I started following Tech football seriously, especially on message boards.

That said, the UNC game is a huge deal. Good teams don't lose two in a row.

The point is to score more than the other team. Yes, long term we have to improve and the staff is working on it (see today's article in the AJC) but you can't completely change things overnight. You also can't cut guys and sign free agents like the pros so you have to work with the players you have and figure out how to use them more effectively. The other thing to consider is that fixing things against one team may not work against the next one because of their relative strengths. It's a constant chess match.

Yeah, we do have to score more, and maybe we would have if we had blocked better. It's over now and we can only wait for things to get better though.

You are right. It shouldn't be that way, but it is. :ugh:

If we were to lose, we'd lose some fans that we only had because of our record and expectations. They'll be back when we finally do meet those expectations, but those fans change like the weather.

+1. If they lose Saturday I am selling my season tickets. I ain't supporting a bunch of pussy footers.

Somebody said something about being a pussy and you're jumping ship if your team loses two games?

Jesus, I hope you don't have any real hardships to deal with in life.

That post from drinkclearwhiskey was TIC.

I hope the sky stops falling and that this time Tech fans inner Chicken Little was wrong. But I think the team was overhyped and that fan expectations weren't well managed this year. I've thought 9-3 all along (10-2 would be very lucky and no injuries) was the appropriate expectation for a team without lines. Losing to Miami is no big surprise--when you consider our weakneses. Failing to win at least 8 regular season games would be.

But when you start talking about ACC titles, the MNC, and you are dealing with Tech fans, the only thing to expect is the sky to fall after the first loss.

Good teams don't lose back-to-back. Saturday, we'll find out if this is a good team right now. Regardless, give 'em hell Tech!

The thing I like most so far:

CCG --> Offense is anemic, CCG leaves same players in runs same plays.

CPJ --> Defensive line is culprit for Miami embarrassing us...CPJ announces DLine changes.

He is not dedicated to his players to the point of it costing us. CCG was soft.

Speaking of the weather, is the rain going to continue until Saturday?
