The Tough Hard Truth

Lots of whiffs by our OL and A backs. We can't throw the ball for squat. Haven't been able to since Goose left. Apparently, it is GT's curse.

Our DL is smallish and got bulldozed. They are just too small and apparently not very strong for defensive linemen. No pressure means guys like Burnett, Tarrant, and Taylor are really behind the 8 ball when it comes to coverage. A decent QB, when given forever to scan the field, will find an open receiver.

Not looking good right now. We just made UM look like the 72 Dolphins.

Ish, perhaps that was too much. I apologize. However, Coach Heisman said,

"It's better to have died a young boy than to fumble the football".

I wonder which is worse, insulting our players looks, or a player making a mistake while possesing the pigskin. So sometimes death is mentioned while talking football, but not really intended.

Awww.. are your feelings hurt? Listen dip****, Ive stated my real name and address several times on this board. There's also a map of where people sit and it shows my seats.

I have nothing against Brad Sellers and I'm sorry he's playing injured. Stupid coaching decision to keep him there if that's the case. MY problem is he is a fish out of water at Tackle and at this level it doesn't work. And Cord Howard played soft last night as did a lot of other members of the team. They know it, I'm not making a revelation here.

I went back and read what I wrote. What EXACTLY did I say that trashed Sellers? Where, spell it out for me, because saying he got owned is not trashing Sellers, it actually ****ing happened.

BOR,

No, my feelings are not hurt. I'm just tired of seeing some delusional fans like yourself who have no clue whats going on constantly hating on my ex teammates and coaches. I'll try and find the map and come down and see you on Saturday.

We should hang out one weekend.

The LB's damn sure better take the B Back. If the DT's are crashing, we need to widen the path of JN to outside leg of Guard and not so much of midline.

Thats when you go to the next level with the QB pitch.

Hell BOR, you know the old adage, last one with the chalk wins.

Offense has to counter what defense is givng them. It takes proper reads and JN is not all the way there yet or so it seems better than 50 perceny of the time.

RMf,
the problem ultimately is that we can't pass good enough to stop the DBs from filling fast as the play unfolds down the line.If we could burn them often they would slow down and we could run even with all the DTs,DEs,LBs crashing.

The way I figure, there is a couple of directions this team could take. We could regroup and play some solid football, win some games and pehaps get to the ACC championship game. We need to pull for us to win the rest of them and for UM to lose a few. I would just love to rub UM's face in it if we were to get to go to the ACC Championship with our only loss being to them.

Otherwise, we could just continue to play mediocre football and hope to win 3-5 more games and just call it a season.

We've been taking this whole UM loss very tough. We were way too inflated with visions of grandeur in the preseason, and that has made this one game seem devastating.

But let's look at the facts and get comfortable. PJ is our coach. He's a smart man who is capable of making the adjustments he needs to win. He'll make our D better, he'll make the O better. It might take him a while to get the right players in place, so we shouldn't demand so much so quick.

Paul Johnson is a winner and I'm still excited at what we are becoming, even if we have a couple unexpected losses this season.

I wont be at UNC, but I will be at VT and UGA. Wife's having a baby next week. I encourage anyone to come and see me if they so feel like it. I'll be the guy with the 50 year old "I Like Tech" pin on my jacket.

This team was absolutely gassed. They played 3 game sin 12 days and now they have 10 days to rest. Let's withhold judgment until they play on a full tank.

That was the fastest team I've seen in a long time out there tonight. Their O had a definite identity, and their D was out for redemption.

I don't think either is a good excuse. There were too many mental errors and people out of position. It's hard for me to tell how fast Miami was or how good Miami was since we played such a crummy, slow, and undisciplined game.

Just about the only thing I give a pass for is Scott Blair's missed kick off the infield dirt--that seems like an excuse one time out.

Thanks. I'm looking forward to having this baby. For the last week I'm playing mom to our two year old and working full time because the wife is on bedrest. I think I may actually get more sleep when this baby goes ahead and gets here.

Congrats BOR! (Watch your cursing 'round the little one) ;)

Thanks. We have a swear jar in my house. When my daughter was born, the first day I put $8 in the swear jar. Swearing only cost me $.25 a swear.

Probably why I let loose on this board.

Congrats BOR

I hear ya on the comments and standing by them. At the end of the day, I would hope no one would come to blows over what's said on here. Although, some may be strong from time to time, it's just a Vent on here.

But, physical is physical. You'd have to really have a screw loose to wanna attack someone on the real after what's said on here.

I'm a big dude (6'4 275 or 280ish) but I'm not some big guy lookin' to toss hands because of some verbal altercation on here.

Barrel Of Rum....you nailed it 100%,,,,there hasn't been one game where we have clicked and improved on....
:wow: We can put on rose colored glasses and say well we did this or we did that....but this is GT football and the last time I looked, it was a TEAM sport....our "non" defensive coach is lost. For all the extreme optimism we had coming into this season, I for one am down. No, I am not a bandwagon fan....but for all the hype and promise of a super season, it all seems to be going down the drain. Sure, we have lots of football left to play, but right now, it does not look good....I hope I get to eat those words....
