Just a little reminder what the VPI safety said about our offense:

“I can tell run, pass, who’s getting the ball. If they keep it like that, then we’re all good.”

:bump:

We MUST remember these words, because he will be eating crow by about 6:30 PM on Saturday.

Until we actually prove him wrong, I'm not sayin' anything other than I hope he is eating that sh!t Saturday evening.

Chancellor is overrated anyway. Alabama made it a point to single him out and pick on him the entire game.

Damit he's gonna tackle us for loss every play or intercept it when we pass. Ball Game guys.

Oops. Well those defenders' minds looked pretty f*** rite too.

Why was a fifth string running back trying to get his head around our option? Maybe that's why he's still fifth string....

That's what I was trying to figure out. It's easy to get your **** mind rite when it's not in a helmet.

Actually Chancellor may be partially right.

I don't know how he can determine if we throw or run....but on the option plays think of this. If he knows how the defense is going to play the option (and he should), then he should know who will get the ball. If the defensive scheme on any particular play takes away the B back and keys on Josh, then Chancellor knows that the ball will go to an A back if Josh makes the right read. Same for any of the options. Since who gets the ball is determined by how the defense plays the ball, then if you know ahead of time how they will play it you should be able to figure out who should end up with the ball.

However knowing and executing are two different animals also.

Where is my logic faulty?

It's not, but then CPJ will change the blocking.

I believe you have hit the nail on the head. And that point goes directly to my statement that "knowing" and "executing" are two different animals. Figuring out who will end up with the ball is only half (if that) of the problem of stopping it.
