Does anyone know what exactly goes into scheduling a flyover of some sort?
I think this week's game would be perfect, we're due for one.
If anyone knows anyone who can make that happen, tell them to get on it. Dems?
 
On a semi-related note, I hope we don't have anyone sing the national anthem. It's much better when the band plays it and the stadium sings along.
 
It was posted on one of the boards that there would be a flyover.
 
A flyby would be the ultimate touch. I think it would really fire us up.

I remember the night we played Notre Dame. It was electric. The flyby was HUGE.
 
Messages on it? and i never saw it on another topic, it would be epic!
 
My flyover - I plan on smuggling in a paper airplane, then launching it from section 207. Look out below!!
 
According to my friend who's in the GT band, there will be paratroopers during the pregame.

The Naval Air Station at Dobbins officially closed on 30Sept so don't expect any contribution from them.

On another note, was anyone else unimpressed with the helicopter fly by at F$U? Seems a fly by shouldn't take 30 seconds.

That happened at the Tech-UGA game in Athens a few years back (2006?). It took so long.
 
What about a banner with a message on it? Or are we just wanting the jets?
 
It wouldn't be pulled by a jet :withstupid:. Small planes do it. I witnessed them in highschool and they got the crowds pumped.

Oh I know what usually pulls banners...but since this thread was about Jet flyovers, I figured you'd continue talking about jets and not switch to prop planes.
 
Dobbins ARB would be able to support any type of fighter jet. Getting the Angels from P-cola to Atl is another matter though.
 
Do you think if we all contacted them asking for one they would show up?
