Wake Forest who sold all 17,500 when they went to the Oranbe Bowl...and at the same price and seat location.

These are not my words...they are DRAds.

At of the date of his article on December 10 we had sold 9,000 of the 17,500 we HAVE to sell at $125 apiece.

DRad even points out that Wake Forest only has an enrollment of 3,950.

Essentially...he is challenging us to show we can support our team as well as Wake Forest.

...and please....lets not hear the "economy" excuse. Lets just encourage every Tech fan we know to buy tickets!

Well we've already done better than VT last year.

But people need to step up and buy tickets....were ACC champs! In a BCS bowl! That doesn't happen every year.

I've already spent way too much money this year on football, i am broke. I will go if someone gives me the means.

I am in the same boat. I over spent in Tampa. I am on the waiting list to use sky miles. If I can use those I will go but I am not going to take presents out of my kids stockings to go...though I considered it :D.

This game is Jan 5, a Tuesday. I don't have the time to take 2 days off of work (maybe 3) to go see this game. Even then, while Tampa was drivable for me, Miami is not. I can't afford air fare.

The Orange owl sold their soul for TV bucks to b the only game on a Tuesday night, so a lack of ticket sales is their fault.

I can't imagine anybody EXPECTING anyone to fly down there in the middle of the week, right after the holidays, to spend a lot of money to sit up in a corner when you could see more on TV at home.

If DRAD wants to use his imagination, set up some sort of charity deal with some kids group and say "Buy a ticket and we'll give it to the kids group and they'll root for Tech" if it is going to be so desparately embarassing that we don't sell enough tickets. Who knows, it is the Miami area, so one of the little guys might grow up to be a player.

It's interesting how the people who enjoy Tech football enough to post on a message board seem to not be able to go to the OB.

7 week old baby girl, -and our first- > Orange Bowl, but it is close.

I wish for the life of me that I could-

People don't want to pay hundreds of dollars to go see a meaningless game on a Tuesday night right after the holiday season? Shocking!!!!

I will be there but I won't be paying $125 to sit in the upper corner when there will be many cheaper tickets in actually good locations.

If I had to fly to Miami on a Tuesday and pay $125 to post on this message board I wouldn't.

Yay Tuesday night games! I'll be there regardless....

It's the Tues fact of the game that will kill the sales. From what I've been hearing, it's as much an issue with people not being able to leave work as those who can't afford it.

But you already did. :ugh:

Obviously posting on the message board is free. I'd like to figure that if you're "hard core" enough of a fan to post on the board, then you're "hard core" enough to spend the time and money to go to the game.

Yes, the Tuesday aspect sucks.

I work for the government and live in Texas, so I can't really afford to go to another game right now. Plus I couldn't get off work on the 5th even if I wanted to. If Tech had played better against UGA, I bet all of the tickets would be sold out...
