The Paul Johnson Era

I think, now that we have a good D, we can get back to a 9-3 or 10-2 team that can beat Georgia once every 2-3 years.
God, how much did we lose keeping Groh for 2 1/2 seasons?
If Roof is successful, how long does he stay here?

One of three options:
1) As long as PJ does
2) As long as PJ does then more as HC
3) Until someone pays him better.

I'd like to think that boosters and the AD would be smart enough to shill out the cash to keep him as long as we can.

yeah I think Roof wants the HC position if/when PJ goes. If we have been very successful, then we probably keep a CPJ protege (Monken, Bohannon, etc) to run the offense.

But I don't think Roof is using this as a stepping stone. He was already at a better program, football-wise. This is where he wants to be.

It was clear and windy against VPI in 1990. Marco Coleman, Willie Clay, Coleman Rudolf, Ken Swilling, and Mike Mooney were also drafted from that team. Also, the tie vs UNC was before we played UVa and the reason we had dropped to #16.

Shame on you for injecting REAL facts into ST.-- and the "foggy" conditions were in the last qtr. Va. game as i recall the FG splitting the posts with 7 sec's left. THAT and J. "Thanks" '99 fumble are 2 of my all-time TECH moments!

No, there was one home game that was cold and played in a fog at home. It may have been a different year, maybe they were even still VPI then
