I'm not on a ledge, because CFB is not the end all...

BUT, I am depressed and coming to a realization that we may be less than irrelevant in the next few years if recruiting cannot be enhanced, and enhanced VERY quickly. It's not like we can go get some JUCO guys to make up the difference. Very hard to take freshman and redshirt freshman, and see a difference very fast, assuming we even have some studs in those groupings, and I would be surprised if we do.
 
The writing on the wall for Gailey started when he was interviewing for the Pittsburgh Steelers job. He made it clear he didn't want to be here by doing that.

The feelings I get from this leaked info bring back some flashbacks from Gailey's last season.

This all sucks because CPJ is a better coach than CCG. It's like NC State firing Herb Sendek after going to the NCAA Tournament FIVE years in a row but couldn't beat his rivals. He couldn't recruit either because of his offense.
 
The really good or bad part of things is we are a good qb from being a 9-10 win team.

I'd tend to say we are a serviceable O-line away. Not saying Vad could have done it behind a good line, but good God the line play was atrocious. Fix that and then determine whether you have a good QB.
 
Mover, unless you heard CPJ saying that he wants to leave, you are just spreading a rumor. You also made it seem like Roof was your source.

Sorry, but I don't believe what you are saying is in fact that case, but you could be right. My point is that I figure if we are losing kids to others schools ONLY because of grades we would here it from the kids themselves (such as on Twitter) if not from the coaching staff either directly or indirectly through rumors.

Read it again colt. We have built-in rejections from the Hill that a recruit would never know about via our standards, ok? If we ever offered a Soph. HS player it would damned well include a IF he makes his grades clause. As for hearing it through rumors, you just did! As for hearing it directly, GOL said it loud and clear! Are we good now?

Herb did just enough to keep his job. It was a death march. Sounds familiar.

I wouldn't think CPJ would float something like this out there unless he had something as good or better lined up. Who else would be interested in CPJ? Vandy, Florida, Nebraska, who?

Ga Southern? I don't think any BCS schools would be clamoring for him now. Maybe he is just trying to get a payout from GT before he goes and takes a gig paying much less. Does anyone have any insight into how their coaching search is going?

My guess: CPJ said something out of anger/frustration behind closed doors. Think Bo Pelini saying how his fans suck (after Nebraska came from 28 down to beat Team XYZ and most of their fans had left the stadium).

Social media can darn sure create a öööö storm for a program in a heartbeat.

I know for a fact it was said, believe it or not. Ted Roof has nothing to do with anything. Also, I spoke to a Citadel Alum friend of mine who is helping with the coaching search for The Citadel asked me if I heard pj turned down 6yr/$12 mill deal from Army, of course I hadn't heard that, but was later confirmed from a couple of coaches that are involved over at The Citadel. Are they liars as well?

It's kind of funny you mention that. I believe Scout had an insider article about Bryan Cook being hired by Army.

Are you saying Army offered the job to CPJ before hiring Monken?
