Even CPJ isn't happy, wants to get bought out

PJ is not going anywhere. If he left now this would be his last job in one of the big conferences and he's not ready to retire yet.

And because he's graduating more players I don't even think the administration has any problem with PJ.

Once again we misplay sports information - something routine for us. If there is absolutely no truth to CPJ's unhappiness or desire to be elsewhere, then you have to get that message out loud and clear. You have to challenge people to reveal their sources or retract. And, stories do get retracted.

If there is any truth to these rumors, then say nothing, don't lie with a false denial. Hash out the conversation and either buy out, fire, or get everyone on the same page working together for a winning program.

Great damage can be done by this rumored report; it can kill spirit within the program and sabotage recruiting this year and the next. Come on SI folks, get on top of this message and straighten it out.

The old saying is so often true, "Where there's smoke there's fire."

maybe it's the people i know, but the number of times i've heard that after hearing that fsu is going to the sec or that dah u is back have made me numb to that.

That's about all there is to it. We all know that social and other media's like to blow things up.

Vad transferring isn't good, but I truly just wish the young man well. He was struggling big time in the bowl game.

The sky isn't falling as much as some want it too! CPJ isn't the idiot some of you make him out to be either. Maybe a few to many adult bevs where involved in this thread.

Hell, at least you have a coach.

Even if he might not want to be there.

From Kleinlein, as sent to me:

"I am excited about how our search is progressing. The search committee and I are pleased with the level of candidates who expressed an interest in our position and with those who have interviewed for the position. I look forward to continuing the evaluation process and naming a head coach soon."

Code words for - we have no idea what we're doing. Either nobody they have offered the job to has accepted or nobody wowed them enough in interviews for an offer. And if the latter is true, it makes you wonder who they chose to interview.
But at least they admitted to interviewing somebody.

While Feldman is credible and a good reporter, Kelly's Tech sources are usually really, really good. Ken does a fine job but I think Kelly is the best guy on the Tech beat to get stuff.
PJ ain't going back to Southern. Not happening. No way.
He doesn't hate all the local media. Just sports talk radio guys. Maybe Bradley a little bit too.
PJ's not a quitter, folks. He's stubborn, sure, and I think folks are about to see just how öööö stubborn he is. He loves having that chip on his shoulder, and he's got one now.
I do know PJ. Haven't talked to him in a while and haven't talked to mutual friends in a few weeks about his situation. But just knowing him as I do, he'll dig in. It's gonna take a lot to get him out.

I get a kick out of a lot of things on this board but the guys that pretend to be CPJ's psychologist amuse me the most.

Wouldn't you want to get away from all the hysteria and unrealistic expectations?

Who created the unrealistic expectations? I think most fans are cool with 8 wins and a 50% rate against UGA.

Vad is a quitter; Johnson is not. He is a proud person who has had success throughout his career and I do not believe he will settle for failure. There are three possibilities:
1. He has success and stays.
2. He has success then leaves.
3. He gets fired.

When was the last time we were 50% vs UGA over a decent period of time? Because as far as I know it was like multiple decades ago. That's fairly unrealistic, as much as it sucks to come to that realization.

How about that? A fan got a form letter response when you asked for details.

You'd get the same thing if you asked at any school. Talk about making a mountain out of a mole hill.

That response means absolutely nothing about the results of the interviews.

EDIT: So I'm perusing Facebook, and I see that the above was posted on www.gseagles.com - lol at "as sent to me"

Yeah, I think "most fans" would be ecstatic with 33% vs. UGA. And that is realistic if we just win half of the close games of the past decade.

But we didn't... And to be honest some that seemed close weren't very close. We were lucky to be in the game in 2010. Had no chance in 2009 with their rushing attack. 2011 and 2012 were blowouts.

wait, what? 09 wasn't close even though we had a chance to win at the end of the game? 10 wasn't close even though we traded touchdowns until we missed a pat at the end of the 4th and had to let them score so we could go for two?

is your definition of close only OT?
