You realize the presupposition for this is that we have "talent". I'm not so sure that's the case, especially on defense.

One heck of a game. I am sick from the second half performance, but congrats to Southern. Hope we never play you again.

Apollo Creed had it right the first time - "Ain't gone be no rematch." He should have listened to himself. Let's let the final GT-Ga Southern series record be 1-0.
 
The Southern boys didn't quit when they could've. Their QB played with tons of heart, and the other backs were pretty darned quick as well.

And you guys were real close to a majority in the stadium. I'd say it is a good thing that a lot of your fans left at the half or we'd have been in trouble from the noise.

Considering you guys brought so many fans (a lot of $$$), I can see us hosting you again. No games currently scheduled, and it will take a long time to schedule though...

I'd prefer we not pay $700,000 for that kind of action the next time. It is crazy to pay that much for a team that just has to ride the bus on up.

They probably brought at least 10k, so there, at least half of 700k made.

I think that Georgia Southern should win most of their remaining games. Navy and Troy are the only 2 that I think will be challenging. I will root for GS against all but Navy. I can't actively root against Navy. I may hate it sometimes, but they still write my checks on the 1st and the 15th.

Troy won't be a challenge. Doesn't look like South Alabammie will be either. Nor will Georgia State.

There is nothing wrong at all with Southern's offense. Defense has to be better, tho.

Wonder if Southern will offer Tech a 3 for 1 or 4 for 1 deal in the next few years.

I'm really proud the team didn't shut down in the second half. It was a good lesson for them even in defeat. NEVER GIVE IN & NEVER GIVE UP. I thought the game was over when GT ran up 5 TDs in a row.
 
Southern fans we met and talked to today were good sports. They were also very loud and didn't give up on their team even when they were down by 25.

I enjoyed the rivalry this week and enjoyed the game, eventhough would have been nice to not blow the top of my head off in second half.

Thanks for coming to play us. I'd like it if this was a yearly thing.
 
I sat in upper east as usual and had a lot of Southern fans around. Loudly cheered their team, and stayed classy. Good fans. I'd like to see them come to town every year. Good economics for both.

Troy lost to Abilene Christian this weekend.
