Bill Shanks interviews PJ

Kyle Field it. We can fit a few more Upper Norths onto the Upper North.

They should have never built the upper north and added onto the south stands instead or at least just hav closed it around kind of how Scott stadium looks.

You could kind of hear CPJ knew we could have, should have done more after our early success and it doesn't seem like he holds himself blameless in those marketing failures.

Bobinski was horrible for Georgia Tech and 2014 ruined his plans.

GT people have a LOT of money and they give a LOT of money back. It's just not going to athletics. That has to change.

Notice how quickly he dismissed the academic argument. That's the biggest non-issue and needs to die. Tech people need to stop believing the false narrative that academics are what creates our ceiling... which is why they don't give as much money. It's a vicious cycle.

If we don't believe Tech is the hardest school on earth, how will we maintain our smug sense of self superiority? I don't want to give that up.

Listening to this, Paul talks alot about stadium sizes, but I don't see how we could get 30k more seats in Bobby Dodd, in either space or dollars.

Honestly, we don't need more seats. We need to sellout those seats so that there is good strong demand for the tickets: that drives up the price of tickets and revenue and sellouts are good marketing.

We are never going to have a HUGE stadium like some so it needs to be special in other ways.

Also, once we sellout the seats, then we need to upgrade some of the sections. That is where stadiums make there money nowadays.

Lastly, it seems we really need to find a way to have bigger video boards. Some HS have bigger boards than we do.

I think the entire Wardlaw Center needs to be reconsidered. At the very least, we need to fix the video board when the Edge Center gets overhauled.

Only one high school. Norcross and they wasted their damn money. That board made me so mad. But yes tech needs one. It’s different when you have to recruit vs taking money out of a booster club budget.

The Wardlaw is the biggest waste of space on campus. What a dumbass idea to tear down part of the stadium and put a useless building in its place that doesn’t even provide for good football seating. That building is basically used as a part time event hall.

I will always appreciate and love him for beating Georgia. I want of the weirdos that would go 1-11 every single year if the one was UGA.
A 1-11 record doesn’t get you the kind of recruits you need to beat them.

I remember reading, honestly dont remember if this board or the other, when one fan suggested instead of giving a donation totally to A-T that we should give some of that donation to the academic side.

I posted a response saying no, because i felt the GTAA has enhanced the entire school for a long time, and that the school has not monetarily supported the GTAA as it should or could.

Course, the original poster responded "pathetic". Quite a few agreed.

So are those supporting the GTAA, as well as the academic side of the school, starting to agree?

Sounds like CPJ thinks the Hill could give more.

“It’s all about the Benjamins baby.” - Paul Johnson 2019

But in all seriousness, Coach is exactly right when he says “look no further than Clemson...”

They upped their donations x3 and got a few national titles and a lot of wins against their rivals and other SEC teams out of it.

We have to find a way to sell our donors on Athletic donations. Give T-Stan the hot leads list!
