I always found the complaints about DRad hilarious. He was really good for GT athletics, which is why Clemson chose him as their AD.You can tell in the interview how it was night and day how he felt towards D-RAD and MBOB. One AD cared about football and PJ, the other liked basketball more and didn't care for PJ. So there are internal struggles there. He goes on to say he doesn't believe no one is intentionally trying to hold Georgia Tech back from success. It's just a money issue.
Fairly or unfairly, the option got a bad wrap amongst the top recruits.
But the main thing everyone needs to take away from this CPJ interview is this: you can’t have nice things if you don’t spend the money.
Our fundraising must increase significantly.
I would be surprised if they could kick you out of your seats on the years we play uGA since you would have then lost access to the seats you had previously. It is likely you just couldn't get in on the years we play uGA because of high demand. Next year will likely also have high demand due to the Notre Dame game so 2022 may be your next chance. When I had the discussion with a GTAA rep it was my understanding that yes, although I’d go on a waiting list anyway, I would qualify to purchase even year, but wouldn’t qualify for odd. Since, as @daBuzz alluded to, there are no tickets available anyway, I didn’t pursue any further.
I have a friend, GT grad who lives in Seneca, SC, who gives me a pair of his club seats once every couple of years or so, to games he’s not planning to attend. The last two times I’ve sat in club, CL 3 was maybe half full.
“For as little as five cents a day you can help feed a defensive lineman.”
I think there could be a future in that. We overdid it with the upper north stands. They tore down the old south because those seats were really in disrepair and I think the feeling in the mid 80’s was that we needed to use the space and we weren’t going to sell enough tickets to justify building new stands there. Is it time to reassess that? Who knows

Everyone here should get on the AT donation page and set up a monthly automatic withdrawal. Make it a comfortable amount you won’t notice. It adds up quickly. I donate every month and hardly notice.

I've always wondered what would have happened had we won the 2009 Ugag game. I think winning would have put his stamp on the program and established GT with in-state coaches, fans, and recruits. As it was, it was the biggest upset in series history (in terms of overcoming a games won differential). We were left with them on our field after the game flying a We Run This State flag, and beginning a 7 in a row win streak. 2014 and 2016 we great wins, but they weren't a chance to establish superiority like that would have been.

He obviously made a few mistakes, but some of them like the NCAA investigation wasn't even a mistake. It was the NCAA doing to Tech what it always does to Tech.
I have never understood how The Hill doesn't recognize how a top tier, successful football program is maybe the best advertising for the Institute. Just getting the ESPN jokers to say how good of a school Tech is on a national broadcast can plant the seed in a young person's mind.
Turn the upper part of the upper north into a video board/ firework launcher. As well as put up a giant model steam whistle that lets out giant plumes of steam for people to see.
There’s no reason parts of the upper north should have stood above the east or west stands.

Dude, giant steam whistles pay for themselves. Not that your idea does not have merit, but it would be very “Tech like” to destroy something unpaid for and add more debt to replace it with something that would not be revenue enhancing.
HA! that really made me LOL !!Dude, giant steam whistles pay for themselves.
