08 Schedule released

Dook talent? In the past five years they've beat us 3 years and finished in the top 10 one year according to rivals rankings.

Who are you talking about? The post was about Miis St but we sure haven't lost 3 of 5 to them, we haven't played them.

Yukon -

The new schemes are on offense, primarily. Our offense CAN'T GET ANY WORSE. THERE IS NOWHERE TO GO BUT UP.

I think he means in the recruiting rankings.

Their talent is better than Duke, but we will see if Newberg, Kennedy, etc are right or wrong soon enough wrt MSU having more talent than GT...

Wow, just reading over that combined with the uniforms I just saw has me pumped like hell. Is it August yet?

...<snipped>
Specifically----
Jax--a preseason tune up win

BC--Ryan-less but in Boston a loss

VT--loss

Miss State--Crooms is getting more players and they are buying into his program--we lose

Duke--might not be better, but they will be different --I say we win, but it is not a given.

GW--win and every player plays

Clempsen--at Clempsen and a revenge game--loss

UVA- maybe we could win this, but it's certainly only a toss up

FSU--too many athletes for us---loss

UNC--Butch Davis will have them improved; 50-50 at best.

Miami--very hard to beat anyone four straight--check everyone's records. I think we lose

Georgia--not this year either, sorry.

Show me where I am wrong. I'd like to be wrong.

But I'm not.

Places I think you're wrong...but only because you asked.

Miss State - Croom has improved the team; but doesn't have it where he wants it just yet. I heard he lost his DC, which could be trouble since the team is built around the defense. This game should be a toss up.

Duke - Same coaching change as us, only they don't have the athletes. I don't expect PJ's teams to ever come out flat, we better win this.

UVA - I heard their quarterback left the school, what's up with that? Personnel problems, plus a revenge game for us in Atlanta, we should win.

FSU - Too many athletes for us? In the 1990's yes, but this is 2008 and Bowden no longer has that advantage. This is late enough in the season that hopefully our offense has jelled and gives us the win.

Miami - They still have Pat Nix. What should be a close game becomes a rout when Miami panics after falling behind early.

Alumni Stadium at BC isn't really known for its homefield advantage, is it? I remember meeting a student reporter for a BC newspaper who was bowled over by the crowd for our game against them this year, and we're no Death Valley.

Not a joke.
Convince me otherwise, without wishing upon a star.
New coach, new staff, new chemistry on the squad, starters will be benched, others will emerge. Attitudes will be strained. Half the players in uniform this fall will have been selected for a significantly different scheme and technique. It will be a large job just to pull 80 guys together as a recreated team. To assume that once they are a team that they will be a good team is asking a lot.
Great theory and all, but BC had a new coach last year. How did that work out for them?

On a side note, I was already planning to be in Boston on 9/6. The schedule just sealed the deal Woo Hoo :woot:
