1-1 with Todd Stansbury. What should I ask him?

I am a current student who will be meeting with Todd in a few weeks. He specifically asked me to look for ways to use Technology to innovate at Georgia Tech (his example was Gatorade at Florida) and how to monetize the football stadium when its not being used in the fall.

Of course I will be talking about GTGould out (the Pitt goldout game had a great student section by the way).

What else do you want me to ask/request of him?

An outstanding idea. Totally underrated actor IMO.

Let shakey knees play BDS instead of shitty Centennial Olympic Park. Bathrooms, better viewing, more room. Resodded after festival. It'd be Champagne Jam all over again.

More huge movie nights on the big board. Or big games. More media events at the Dodd.

SK has multiple stages. COP is actually a pretty good spot for a festival. Lots of parking close by, and several entrances and exits.

Using psychometrics to monitor and post to recruits' social media feeds, a la Cambridge Analytics in the Brexit campaign and the Trump campaign. We should be revolutionizing this in college recruiting. Some kids want a lot of responses, you can target certain messages to particular recruits, etc. etc. We've got grad students looking for AI opportunities. Let's put them on the task. I'd be willing to participate as well.

we need to place a bunch of cameras in Bobby Dodd Stadium and McCamish Pavilion, enough to be able to generate 3d models

then let teams practice there and be recorded. then deliver them 3D data so they can look at plays from all angles, etc

we might get NFL and NBA teams here

edit:
we kinda already do some things like this in the Homer Rice Cntr iirc

Use the textiles department to start manufacturing jerseys which are the appropriate shade of gold.

I'd imagine a summer concert series might be decent, but BDS is competing with a lot of different venues for the acts.

Nasty, stinky, smelly.

Competing festival. All day long. Start at 10am, finish at midnight. BDS holds maybe 70k for a concert? I enjoyed sitting at the very top row of the upper North endzone for the Rolling Stones. Pretty night.

I was right there with you. Although I wasn't pissing off the back.

He's so strapped for ideas on how to make money he's relying on undergrads....

It's possible that a technology version of the Monster Truck shows would attract an audience. They could have demonstrations and competitions of drones and robots competing with with things like heavy lifting and problem solving. I'd like to see a robot kick a field goal from 60 yards. It could generate some ticket sales and would be a great marketing tool for Tech. I don't think that kind of thing is done anywhere yet.

or even some kind of robot-football game. have the robot team play against each other in some rudimentary way
