“The list of players choosing to opt-out of the 2020 college football season grew substantially on Tuesday after 10 UCF players announced decisions to sit this season over coronavirus concerns. Quarterback Darriel Mack Jr., cornerback Tay Gowan, defensive linemen Kalia Davis and Mason Cholewa, cornerbacks Devunte Dawson and Elijah Benoit, offensive linemen Allan Adams, Lamarius Benson, Adrian Medley and pass rusher Kendrick Wilson are all skipping the 2020 campaign.

Davis and Gowan, two preseason all-conference candidates, are the substantial losses along with Mack, UCF's No. 2 behind Dillon Gabriel who has played well in spots for the Knights during his career.”
