Three phases in the game and this staff is addressing them all. Obviously we all want to win every game but I’m proud of what this staff represents and is attempting. This isn’t a bunch of mercenaries taking these jobs for money and career development. These are GT guys coming together to bring something special for this fan base. We may never win another Natty or become a perennial top 10 team, but I feel a certain amount of GT pride when these coaches and athletes talk just like I feel that GT pride when I see Roddy Jones on a telecast or others associated with GT. The effort and time spent finding a kid like this is what is called attention to detail.

I have basically 0 knowledge of kicking technique and mechanics, but it looks like he's not even kicking at full strength on the long FGs. Throw in D1 strength training and nutrition, and he's going to somehow get even better.

I notice he doesn’t have a recruiting profile. That’s usual for kickers?

Not as many of them get evaluated. Some have rivals/247 profiles, with the top kickers being 3 stars, some have Kohl's Kicking profiles. All I can find is a Hudl for Birr. Not a real issue, though. The sites will undoubtedly create one for him now and probably give him 2 or 3 stars.
