A couple notes: the GSU fumble was actually a great effort play by Jamal Golden to not only cover the pitch man, but swat the ball down. They u[sic]ga fumbles were inside the 5, and they also didn't field a sky kick late in the game.
in the 2014 Georgia Southern game, it was a late hit on a third and a cab ride that kept their first drive of the second half alive. Without it, it would have been fourth and forever (not unlike the Va Tech game where Sneezy hit Logan Thomas upside the head, keeping a Hokies drive going when they were about to punt but instead they went and scored). They went down, scored, got momentum and PJ mentioned later how the team kinda sleepwalked through the second half because of the big lead until they got behind.
That last TD was a great play. Edwin Jackson (RIP) came through untouched, JT got away, found Deon Hill crossing underneath, and he pulled away from a shoulder tackle.

I disagree we looked just as bad. But we certainly almost lost. It also wasn’t the first game. That was a 38-19 beating of Wofford.

In that same first weekend GA Southern lost by 1 to NC State.

they finished 9-3
We don’t k is what NIU will finish. Maybe we should have started this thread at the end of the season
