Volume is picking up. I predict a lot of volatility in the butthurt futures market this season.

What are the rules again? Do we buy or sell right before the giant butthurt loss happens? I can't remember.

For 2016 we should develop some kind of complex butthurt derivatives market, where we pair GT losses with UGA wins and visa versa.

I'm thinking we should also offer some kind of broader emerging markets fund where we profit from surging butthurt at forums of other teams.

I think the real opportunities are in the smaller, off beat markets. It is difficult to forecast and make money reliably in an irrational market (SEC). I think the Sun Belt is the perfect market to exploit. The markets are small enough that I think I could influence a butthurt tsunami and cash in.

Hopes are pretty high over at Arkansas State. They might be my mark for this season. Anyone know any Red Wolves forums?

buy buy buy when the butt is soothed and relaxed and you sell when we lose to duke.

Buy when the demand for butthurt is low. Typically, after a big win or 11 win season. Sell when the fanbase needs butthurt after an agonizing loss.

If only the butthurt markets had been functioning after the mtsu loss. The demand for butthurt was so deep and widespread, there was practically famine. Yellow jacket fans insuch need of butthurt to properly express themselves were forced into apathy or openly selling their fanhood on the streetcorner to obtain a few grams of butthurt.

It's cool. We just made a couple "remember how much chan sucked" threads and felt all better

It will impossible to make the same capital gains from this season as I did from a 3 win season.

It's important to recognize the difference between commodities spot trading and futures trading. If you trade butthurt as a commodity then you're taking possession of butthurt at a certain price. Technically when the supply of butthurt goes up aka after the team implodes, the price of butthurt should go down. The demand for butthurt should only be up when we're seeking the butthurt of others aka when people want the team to do bad and everyone to be butthurt so we can make staff changes. The futures trading of this commodity is just making a bet on the price of the butthurt at a future date. So when you're buying a future you should specify what price you're buying and for what period. But generally it is understood that if you're buying futures you're expecting the price of butthurt to go up but you're not taking possession of butthurt.

Now the way you, engineers who pretend to know shit about Wall Street, talk about butthurt futures buying and selling, it seems you view butthurt futures trading like a commodity market where you take possession of butthurt and anticipate the price of butthurt to go up because the demand for butthurt goes up when the team implodes. Which makes me think that the butthurt commodity must be some sort of fuel to drive your own butthurt which is why the market is in high demand at bad times. I'm ok with that but I still think y'all should know the difference between spot trading and futures trading.

That's why we need BHEC to be established and define what rules need to be adhered in regards to butthurt trading. Otherwise it's like Wall Street in the 80s and I'm afraid a lot of you are getting ripped off while your butthurt broker is taking your cash and spending it on strippers and blow.

I'm starting a butthurt hedge fund. I'll report to investors in risk-adjusted returns and nobody will ever know that I've lost all of their butthurt. Meanwhile, butthurt ETFs will still continue to be the smartest play.

Before you do that we need to define what exactly the butthurt commodity is. We need BHEC to set the market price for BH prior to trading and then we can build all the other markets on top of it. We need a trading platform on which to trade on and view the price fluctuations based on team news and transactions. We also need to build a hype market since I assume hype will be inversely proportional to butthurt and it will present hedging opportunities for investors.

I still think that butthurt should be as a commodity what is generated by fans to eat away hype. Hype is generated when the team is doing well or expected to do well and drive down butthurt. In which case, butthurt should be dirt cheap when the team does bad because there's butthurt all around. Right now we've stabilized from last year and there's some hype due to coach Johnson's remarks about the team so hype is being generated. So the price of butthurt should be high because there's very little of it. Think about it this way. At a time when everyone else is optimistic and you're a douchebag like diseqc and you want to generate butthurt, the market is making it hard for you by calling you out or big crying you. It is harder to generate butthurt because most people anticipate the team to do well(or better). That should tell you that the price of butthurt should be high.

+1

I've been pretty butthurt about the way ST thinks of butthurt futures.
