So WF and Clemson have straight bye weeks before us, Miami and us both have 10 days off, and Duke has a bye followed by Army and Tech. New year same shit.

So Duke wears back to back ass beatings by the same offensive style. Good for them. Wait, I'm supposed to say they'll be decimated by chop blocks against Army and be easy pickins for Tech.

From strictly a lineup perspective it's not so bad. Three OOC games to break in a new QB. bye week in the middle of the season breaking up the Coastal games. WF before Clemson (granted WF isn't a gimme). VT late in the season so we can roll them again. Duke before UGA (granted Duke isn't a gimme). Overall a very manageable lineup given the opponents. That is before you look at all the bye week shit again. How Duke maneuvered a BYE-Army-GT combo is beyond me. Hopefully it ends up helping us with CPJ getting to see their defensive gameplan and read keys.

Not as bad(biased) as recent years. The Clemson one pisses me off and the Duke bye week then army before us is a bit of a interesting coincidence. However those games are later in the season when we are getting things running smoothly on offense.

Looks like WF or UVA for homecoming which is a little sad for me. We've had some big Homecoming upsets under CPJ - almost always a lot of juice pumping through the stadium. Sad to waste that on one of two games we should already be winning.

What team gets the white out? Gold out gotta be Wake b/c they made us wear gold last time (?) at least one time they did <insert JFN superman TD>.

We kind of get a bye before Clemson in Wake... We have a "bye" in front of Miami... UNC falls well in the schedule. The start is kind of brutal, but I don't have a lot of complaints. Pretty good schedule for us overall.

Season ticket renewals are now available. $380 (plus Tech Fund if applicable) for the season including Tennessee game isn't too bad. Also links to seating chart for CFA Kickoff. Looks like we have decent seats available.

Teams that had to play a conference team coming off a bye, by year:

2017:
0: BC, Clemson, UofL, Cuse, WF, VT
1: FSU (Cuse), NCST (BC), Miami (GT), Pitt (UNC), UVA (UofL)
2: Duke (FSU, UVA), UNC (Pitt, VT)
3: GT (Miami, Clemson, WF)

2016:
0: BC, UofL, NCST, Miami, UVA
1: FSU (CU), Cuse (BC), WF (NCST), UNC (VT), Pitt (UVA), VT (Pitt)
2: CU (FSU, Cuse), Duke (GT, UofL),
3: GT (Duke, Miami, UNC)

2015 (ND got hit by 3 ACC teams coming off byes this year):
0: BC, CU, UofL, NCST, Cuse, Duke, Miami, UNC, UVA
1: FSU (UofL), GT (VT), Pitt (UVA),
2:
3: WF (FSU, UNC, NCST), VT (Pitt, GT, Duke)

2014 and back is two-bye era due to conference game scheduling. 2013 and back adds Maryland. I was too lazy to go further, plus the data set changes due to the former.

Adding the last two years up you get:
0: BC, UofL
1: Miami, UVA, NCST, Cuse, WF, VT
2: Pitt, FSU, Clemson
3: UNC
4: Duke
5:
6: GT

Eight teams have had at least 6x less conference bye opponents (57% of the ACC).
Eleven teams have had at least 3x less conference bye opponents (79% of the ACC).

No other team but Duke comes within two byes of GT.

But it's just me being a conspiracy theorist amirite?!

Once again our home games are front loaded into September. And we have one home game in October. Wish we could balance that out a little better.
