It is even funnier when you read the article and they predicted them to be similar to last year. I guess 77 other teams are going to have 9+ win seasonsLOL they put us at #78

Good news is that we'll have at least one media chip on our shoulder?![]()
Marshall was definitely a key loss, though unnamed here.LOL they put us at #78

Great stuff, thanks for posting!
Don't reckon you'll do the same thing for the OS rankings analysis also?
What do you mean, exactly?
LOL, you can say that again. Every costal game is going to be BIG!Welp, if you subscribe to the scalar transitive ranking theory, Orlando Sentinel has picked us to win 4 games this season (3-5 in the Coastal) and contend for our division. It's going to be a wild ass Coastal ride!
76 Syracuse
72 Army
Lol
65 Wake Forest
66 Cal
67 Tulsa
68 Troy
69 Miami (OH)
70 Boston College
71 Texas Tech
Thanks, this list just keeps getting funnier.
Are we really ranked below those teams or was that a different list? I am confused. Do they really think we are #78?
Well, we lost Jordan Thomas, so.........Are we really ranked below those teams or was that a different list? I am confused. Do they really think we are #78?
Ranking P5 and G5 teams together is generally pointless. Here are 2 other rankings
https://athlonsports.com/college-football/ranking-all-130-college-football-teams-2017
http://collegefootballnews.com/2017/college-football-preseason-rankings-preview-2017
These 2 have 59 and 61 P5 teams in the top 70 and the top 50 being nearly exclusively P5. I think that reflects the reality that only a few G5 teams could compete in a P5 conference.
BTW, these 2 rankings have us at 36 and 38.
I would use these for this kind of thread, but they don't do a countdown. As far as I can tell, Orlando Sentinel has been the only name in the countdown game for the past two seasons or so.
