Or another OL.
Yep. Zero chance JH comes until freshmen report in summer. IIWII
Or another OL.
Can we now late enroll Haynes for this semester?
Don't we have a kicker coming in from Australia or something? There are seven kickers in the transfer portal and none have committed. The only one that looks interesting is Ruggles from UNC.
I hope we get a transfer or quality PWO. The last few years have been a disaster at a position we should not have to struggle to recruit.

doesn't matter if he has to kick it through peopleThe pwo we brought in last year, Verdisco, is healthy and hitting 50 yarders off a tee, fwiw. Had surgery last year.

We also have competent OL now.
But do we have a competent coach for the kickers? I've never seen anything like this staff with regard to kickers.
Omg noMaybe we should hire Coach Feely?
?
The man produces quality kickers...
IIRC, the actual kicking coach that works on kicking mechanics, etc., with the kickers is more of a consultant/external staff role than an assistant and is the same person that's been doing it for several years, even back to the CPJ days. It's not one of our assistants out there trying to teach these guys how to kick. Our ST coordinator sets the depth charts, alignments, teaches fakes, etc. but doesn't actually "teach" the kickers anything. But do we have a competent coach for the kickers? Given the results over the past few seasons why haven't we looked at an alternative. Perhaps bringing in a consultant from one of the kicking camps.IIRC, the actual kicking coach that works on kicking mechanics, etc., with the kickers is more of a consultant/external staff role than an assistant and is the same person that's been doing it for several years, even back to the CPJ days. Wonder is there’s some opportunity there. Like how CGC was kind of on the forefront of making a position specifically for player brands. Could we partner with a some kicking agency to turn Tech into some form of “Kicker U.” Like isn’t Chris Sailer big in the kicker recruiting world?
Idk maybe there’s no equivalency there. Somebody probably would have tried it already. Maybe gets blocked by NCAA staff limits or something. Just seems like kicking would be a smart area for us to invest in given limited resources relative to competition.
The high school playoffs had better kickers. But do we have a competent coach for the kickers? I've never seen anything like this staff with regard to kickers.
