2024-2025 Coaching Carousel Thread

Is being an NFL position coach really a step up from being a CFB DC? I wouldn’t think so.
It is
Much more exposure. Only 32 NFL LB coaching jobs vs 130 FBS DC/LB spots
And little or no recruiting duties
Plus, no worrying about whether some 19 year old kid is doing his English Lit homework between minicamps and OTAs

What do you mean? How real is the fact that Clemson, Miami, and Texas AM all tried to hire him as DC? Those were real according to my “source”.
I think the sarcasm went right over your head. The “source” quoted turning down P5 overtures, when there are only 4 power conferences (B1G, B12, ACC, sec).

tOSU has now lost their top level DC (Knowles) to PSU, and now Chip Kelly is taking an easier job going back to the NFL as the OC of the Raiders.

Ryan Day has some big time holes to fill on his staff.

Pure comedy. Ryan Grubbs who lasted at Alabama 1 week when DeBoer took over before his wife reportedly did not want to move to Alabama, ended up as the Seahawks OC for 1 year…..Grubbs was let go by the Seahawks…..Grubbs is now the OC at Alabama…..Again.
