It’s the coaching industry in a nutshell. Same goes for Roof. How Roof kept landing DC job after job after job, despite the results on the field.Damn are people stupid or something?
Please let this be.
This guy should be in charge of writing people's CVs. Or brochures for time shares.I'm not signing up to "Become a Tech Lunch Pail Insider", but, in case you don't want to read the few available paragraphs of the "The Case for Geoff Collins as Virginia Tech's next Defensive Coordinator", here are a couple of hilarious gems:
* "...one of the most experience (sic) and successful defensive coordinators available"
*after listing his prior DC jobs, he adds "That's the type of experienced coordinator who understands what it looks like to run a defensive roon and has plenty of experience to lean on for in-game play calling and adjusts. More importantly, he's been successful at all of his FBS stops".
Please hire!!
I think there are a lot of people who would rather be coaching in the nfl than college in the NIL/portal era.Honest question- is this really a step up? I guess it has a lot to do with what parts of the job you love, and NFL does seem simpler in a lot of ways vs today's college game. But, DC at a major program to position coach in the NFL...
What do you mean? How real is the fact that Clemson, Miami, and Texas AM all tried to hire him as DC? Those were real according to my “source”.How real can this be? Considering there are only 4 major conferences (B1G, sec, B12, ACC) and not 5. The P12 is died before the 2024 season. I mean can anyone blame him for leaving CFB at this point? No.
Wrong!!!Is being an NFL position coach really a step up from being a CFB DC? I wouldn’t think so.
Not sure about Santucci, but a lot of coaches don’t embrace the recruiting part of the job.Is being an NFL position coach really a step up from being a CFB DC? I wouldn’t think so.
