This is a hard one really. Caralla was the Football Scoop S&C COY literally before coming to GT. So while hindsight is 20/20, you can’t gloss over that fact.Clown was bad. Historically, literally and without question bad.
But I also contend the S&C coach under him, Lew Caralla, was also extraordinarily culpable in our decline. He made great motivational videos. And yet our team seemed to get slower and weaker under his tutelage.
Somehow, like the Clown who hired him, he keeps finding work.
Scary photoWow…..Guy has been pretty much everywhere since leaving GT (including being a scapegoat for Prime).

Yeah, but he sucked at Tech. I mean, he was really, really bad at his job. “He got his first head strength opportunity at North Texas and later landed at Buffalo under Lance Leipold, where he helped develop a team that earned him FootballScoop Strength Coach of the Year honors in 2018.”
I get it and agree. But when you hire someone who just landed a COY award, at the time it seemed like a good hire. But like most of that staff, was a disaster.Yeah, but he sucked at Tech. His complete and utter malfeasance at Tech overshadows any BS award from a website he got. Remember, when CBK started cutting deadwood, Coach Lew was among the first. That should tell everybody something.
Him getting that award means as much to me as the number of times Clown was up for the Broyles Award.
My kid and his kid were on the same softball team soon after he was hired. I told him I was excited about the new staff and looked forward to coming season. May your paths never cross again. My kid and his kid were on the same softball team soon after he was hired. I told him I was excited about the new staff and looked forward to coming season. Well, I never spoke to him again.
Hope he stays here but…

When I saw players lifting weights on the SL’s before a game, I sort of knew there was an issue. Obviously a few years later he “leaves” GT to go to Charlotte.
Let it goWe hired the National COY in '92 instead of Friedgen or O'Leary. Turned out to be a disaster almost as bad as the Clown hiring.
What about Texas A&M? Weren’t they rumored to be interested in Santucci?Miami has hired a DC. That leaves Clemson and Oklahoma still in the market for a DC.
