I like Castellano but not as much as King. If I were a betting man, I say King and Philo stay put but we may lose Pyron. I would wish him the best too because he has been committed to our success and has worked hard while here.King will be back next year. No reason for him to leave and the NIL money will be there. We will take a QB every recruiting class, that is standard operating procedure. Taking Castellanos makes absolutely no sense. We are not going to pay a backup QB to sit around in an already deep room.
247 Sports is very high of Adamson’s dual threat ability. Borderline 4*.Don't forget the Knowles kid, who is 6-7, we signed in the class of 24.
I think stockpiling Philo, Knowles and Adamson is an indication the coaches don't think King is coming back, though the prudent path would be to take at least one QB a year.
Writing on the wall for Pyron; if he’s gonna play it will be elsewhere. Knowles also is squarely behind someone in his own recruiting class; QBs like that usually jump.I kinda doubt that, our QB rom is loaded, we might lose one of Pyron or King, but have both Philo and Knowles who have both looked really good. Bringing in a transfer might piss off everybody…

Maybe a possible answer to our punting issues.
He's an aerospace engineering major also. Sure hope he can find a school close to home that needs a punter and offers his field of study.Yes, he even drew a short arrow of travel that obviously lands at GT
Hasn't Pyron graduated or is close to graduating anyway?Writing on the wall for Pyron; if he’s gonna play it will be elsewhere.
graduating in december, I believe.Hasn't Pyron graduated or is close to graduating anyway?
Good Look for usHe's an aerospace engineering major also. Sure hope he can find a school close to home that needs a punter and offers his field of study.
The QB? From my limited viewing he's a below average passer who has some slippery running ability. What's the scoop on the UNLV kid? He good or something? I honestly have no clue
Wow, perfect fitHe's an aerospace engineering major also. Sure hope he can find a school close to home that needs a punter and offers his field of study.
Same scouting report as TAMU Haynes King? The QB? From my limited viewing he's a below average passer who has some slippery running ability.
I would not call King a below average passer (when healthy at least). I feel like Sluka is like a worse version of an injured King. I think he'd be a step down from any of our current 3 QBs.Same scouting report as TAMU Haynes King?
I highly doubt we get a QB from the portal. Next year was always going to be King or Pyron, not both. Then we still have Philo and Knowles with Grady Adamson coming in. Knowles is still developing but has the NFL measurables and a big arm. He also was able to redshirt this year, so if Philo doesn't, Knowles will technically be a year behind him. I suspect our QB room next year will be King/Philo/Knowles/Adamson and a few walk-ons.Writing on the wall for Pyron; if he’s gonna play it will be elsewhere. Knowles also is squarely behind someone in his own recruiting class; QBs like that usually jump.
Would bring in someone to compete with Philo as next man up.
