Not sure what the deal is with Petty, but AJC says:
"There were reports Wednesday afternoon that Petty might not sign until later in the week, and that other schools still were pursuing him. However, Petty’s father, James Petty, confirmed to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution earlier Wednesday Josh was planning to sign with Tech on Wednesday."
Makes me nervous...

Yes. In my personal life, when I felt like I was signing up for something I didn’t really want, I also asked for clarity on unimportant details of a contract til I found a way to man up to back out properly.

Let's allow the guy an opportunity to slow things down and be sure he's doing the right thing. It does no one any good if he signs with reservations. Let's get all the details ironed out so he can sign confidently.

This doesn't look like wavering - it looks like "y'all told me so and so and I don't see that in the paperwork so let's fix that."
 
I'm like 90% that Petty signs. All public indications are that he's GT bound. It'd be weird to flip after the family signing ceremony and interview and all. Sounds like just a NIL deal thing. He probably got offered some last-second money informally and it takes a minute to formalize it.
