4th down we went for

I think it was a combo of weak fg kicker and we were moving the ball.

I think if we had a stronger kicker he would have kicked it. A 17pt lead is HUGE.

I don't think so law...I think he knew the first down was easy given how badly MSU failed to play the TO on the previous play. I also don't think he considers 17 points a big lead. He wants 7 on every possession.

The funny thing about it to me was the time out.

MARK MY WORDS here, that whole "motion into the wishbone then call a time out" thing he's doing - that's a SET UP. He's showing that to everyone who watches film, so every DC will warn their players "Don't jump offsides when they motion into wishbone," then one of these games when it matters most (maybe Georgia) he's going to motion one guy back, start to motion the second guy back, and quicksnap the football during the motion when the DL is thinking "don't jump offsides, don't jump offsides" and our QB is going to barrel for a first down.

When everyone is playing checkers, Coach Johnson is playing chess. I'm 100% with you, beej. He's going to bust it out when we really need it...maybe UGA, maybe next season, but it's going to happen.

My brother came with me to the game; we both watched PJ run this offense for years at Southern. We told everyone around us he was going for it and would be if Gary Anderson was his kicker.
