5:30 p.m. press conference to announce

"I've probably got a cell phone full of voicemails and text messages full of people wanting to coach here."

Liked the press conference , I could not hear the questions so if anyone has a transcript I would like to see it. The answers were OK, definitely has some charisma, he had a good response on the Ugag rivalry question (did not pull a Dantonio). I hope he sits down with Giff as soon as possible and starts sorting out the recruiting board like he said.

The best bet for a transcript would be ramblinwreck.com in a little while - I imagine they're pretty busy right now putting together the releases re: PJ.

The only people who heard the questions were the ones in that room, though.

I was at the press conference. Sat right behind Clough. My favorite comment was when he talked about "slapping around" the UGA guy.

Guys, First of all. Don't sweat the media. They are worried now that they are going to have to cover Tech more. I talked to one of the sports guys and he is a huge Tech fan and is loving every bit of it. Chuckie Dowdlehead was sitting all alone about to cry. I think the only question he asked was about the snow in annapolis. What a retard.

The one thing that got me was the comparison to the floridas and wv's offense. Everybody is quick to dispell his offense because the QB lines up under center and the others line up in shotgun.

The man is playing to win and if he runs 50 times or passes 50 times HE IS PLAYING TO WIN! name the last coach we had like that. I fully expect blowouts from this coach. He is not going to go conservative.

I met his wife and daughter who were very nice and excited, 15 million can do that, JK. I heard schultz was there but don't know what the arsehole looks like or I would have said something to him.

The only thing that disappointed me was the amount of players that showed up. I really thought there would have been more. More upsetting is while 90% of the fans gave PJ a standing O, the players all stayed seated. Being petty you ask? I know I am but it's all about respect. This NFL lifestyles is getting ready to be thrown out the door.

He was talking about Mike Sewak - the coach that took over at Southern after he left, before Van Gorder.

That might be right, I didn't hear him clearly. Either way, he wasn't referring to Hatcher leaving - which is what I thought he meant at first, as well as some others.
